The Fire Is Coming
"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we [are] not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." (Daniel 3: 16-18)
Recently, I was walking outside in the quiet of the evening and listening to the Lord. Out of the blue a simple phrase dropped into my heart, "the fire is coming." I thought for a moment and then began to reflect on that statement. I was immediately taken to this event that took place in the lives of Daniel's three friends.
Here were men who refused to bow to the commands of a pagan king and who would not under any circumstances, compromise their convictions and devotion to the living God. When everyone else around them, even fellow Jews, were hitting the ground every time the band began to play the music that said, "Bow! Now!", they stood tall, strong, and alone. They were part of the small remnant that would not bow, bend and break, even under threat of intense suffering and death.
Their love and devotion to Yahweh was deep, real, and intense. The intimate knowledge that they had of Him produced a love that would not yield to the executive orders of a tyrant. They knew the price that would be paid, but that did not matter. Better to obey God and die, than to bow as cowards and live. They knew God could deliver them if He chose to and trusted that. They also knew that He might not, but again, that did not matter. What did matter was obedience that flowed from love.
They refused, were captured and thrown into the fire. Three brave young men went into the fire bound, but determined. Nothing and no one was going to make them compromise. What they found in the fire was a miracle! The very fire sent to destroy them, actually set them free! The fire burned off that which bound them, but better yet, God was with them IN the fire! They walked in the midst of the intense flame with God! Their obedience led them to come to know God in a way that they would have never known Him had they not obeyed.
The result of their obedience led a pagan king to worship the true and living God and made the God of Israel known to a pagan world! The world watched and saw the power of the living God through a few young men who dared to obey and were willing to face the fire.
Folks, the fire is coming here. It is coming and the heat from it will be intense. A nation is being ordered to bow down to the insane will of tyrannical, luciferian, rulers. The Church is being told to sit down and shut up. The State is exalting itself as a god and commanding us to give our loyalty, love and worship to it. Many people inside the "religious system" find no issue with bowing down. They value their security, comfort, and way of life more than they do obeying God.
Millions of babies are being murdered, unjust wars started, men and women being asked to go to battle for behind the scenes mafia banksters and power hungry politicians, and iniquity and wickedness of the highest order and magnitude fills the land. Admit it, this Nation looks nothing like it did even 20 years ago, let alone 75! The moral fabric has eroded, and a Republic has been captured by new Nazi Socialists. Where does the blame lie? Squarely at the feet of a compromising and silent Church! A church that like many of the Jews in Daniel's day, hit the ground every time the music begins and gives their worship to the new Nebuchadnezzar. Why? Because of the threat of the fire.
The fire is coming. It will take the form of persecution that right now is being leveled on a field where our rights of free speech are being stripped away. The regime can't have the truth being spread about their real agenda and the nefarious things they are up to both here and abroad. The man behind the curtain cannot be exposed. So, the voices of dissent must be silenced...one way or another.
The persecution will eventually (and rapidly I believe), go from simply passing laws and pressuring us to shut up, to the use of force and then the threat of death. That is how it has always played out historically.
Are you willing to do jail time for speaking out? Are you willing to lose everything materially for refusing to bow down? Are you willing to die for standing true to God and His ways in the face of unimaginable evil? If so, you will be thrown into the fire.
But...the fire is freeing! You will find that in the fire, things that used to bind you, God releases you from! In the fire is where you will find God right there with you. In the fire is where He is magnified the most and His glory is revealed. In the fire is where the world can stand see the power, Person and Presence of the Lord Jesus Christ! In the fire is where faith is tried and found to result in praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus. In the fire is where you discover things about God that you never would have known without it. The fire which is meant to silence the witness of Jesus, will only serve to declare His glory as never before! Yes, the world will see and stand up and take notice.
But, for this to happen, some people have to be willing to face the fire. The fire IS coming. Will you bow or will you stand when the music starts?
Standing in and because of Him,
