Few issues spilt America as conclusively as the Second Amendment to the US Constitution, which protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

In July 2015, 50% of Americans said it is important to control gun ownership, and 47% said it is more important to protect the right of Americans to own guns (Pew).

The map above shows the divide in public opinion on expanding gun control, favored greatly by the metropolitan coasts, opposed with determination by the rural middle.

The people living in the urban areas and coastal areas already have strict gun control.

Why do they think it's their prerogative to force it on us, who don't live like them and who would never choose to do so?

It's coming down to either secession or war.

Statists vs lovers of liberty -- as it has always been.

The best part about this and something that weighs heavily in our favor against them:

We own guns. They by and large do not.

Going further -- I'd put my money on any country boy over effeminate gun grabbers any day. In fact I'd put him over 10 of them.

We got this.

Don't sweat it. They're all bluster and bullshit.

Again, the uniforms are the only ones with guns in those commie areas.

We outnumber the uniforms at least 50 to 1.

The numbers work for us not them.

If Hellbitch gets elected I predict an imminent gun confiscation attempt and the requisite response.

It's Trump or it's war.

Period.

Yep for sure, leave us alone to own guns or you won't like it when we get really pissed off, and we are just about to the really, really pissed off stage, so back off.

Cough, choke, gasp..... Everyone's precious TX has a huge swath of gun haters. It can't be!

Texas will fall in some of our lifetime's.

Maybe you should look again, because I don't see any yellow or orange in Texas. At best a 50-50 split in the liberal urban areas, with most of the State falling into the NO category. Sure looks like Texas is still solidly against gun control.

The only iffy part of TX is that stripe up I-35.

It is known to be populated by liberal carpetbaggers...A little bit of California East.

In my mind, it should be OK to revoke their Texas citizenship and deport them to Colorado.

The southern 1/4 of Florida is seriously contaminated by New Yoikers and persons from Niew Jwersie, from up noith. They like to talk about how much better things were up noith, but wont move back there because it is so cold, and the taxes are so high, and the gangs... So they carpet bag in FL and want to make our state into the craphole they fled from... Much like the "Refugees" fleeing from the middle east.

Say MW. Do us native Coloradoans a favor and send your gun grabbers to CA. We already have too many CA imports who don't like guns. To get TX with the same attitude would be horrible.

This is the Progressives and Liberals (Democrat's) method of operation. Not just gun rights but most all issues. They nudge you a little at a time until the movement grows and they feel they can make there move.

As of 3/5/2016 West Virginia has repealed the concealed carry laws and becomes officially effective June 3. So we no longer have to jump threw hoops and pay fees and beg for a permit.
