OP-ED The Deceiver and the Royal Wedding

As a committed Christian, I was happy to see the open presentation of the Christian faith at Saturday's Royal Wedding. Many watching choose to turn their backs on the truths of God's word and live a secular, non-believing life. That is their choice. They were kind enough to tolerate the message by sitting through it without making faces, and I thank them for their indulgence.

But for some who have never consciously made the decision to be secular, it was a great opportunity to hear a loving viewpoint that society has done its best to block. This includes the Millennial generation, who are the first to have been indoctrinated from the first grade through college into the liberal orthodoxy.

Bishop Michael Curry's sermon started off well, sharing the message of Christ. I thought, "How great! A black American preacher is presenting the message of the love of Christ to hundreds of millions of people." An accomplished preacher and speaker, he was certain to gain the attention of the listener.

Then the Deceiver stepped in. In a quick moment, Bishop Curry turned to the socialist world message of "Love." It snuck in through the side door of the church and landed on the lectern with hardly a noise. Curry later compounded his mistake by going down several rabbit trails that had nothing to do with a wedding, including a discussion of slavery. Worse were comments on Dr. King, who certainly was rolling over in his grave by that point, including quoting Dr. King's favorite Scripture passage from Amos 5:24 about justice. Again, what does that have to do with a wedding?

Why was his talk on "love" so wrong and misguided? Because he wasn't talking about the love of God as Christ defined it – or even as it is defined in the New Testament's first letter of John, Chapter 4, which he also quoted. He just made it sound as though he was.

In dealing with antonyms, we all know that the opposite of "hot" is "cold" and "day" is "night," but the opposite of "love" is not "hate." The opposite of love is indifference, because as God defines love, it is an action, not a feeling. Feelings can change, but actions accomplish things. Jesus's command to love one another means to take the action of being concerned about others, to help and pray for them and their lives, and not to be indifferent to their sufferings and trials.

But the socialist worldview and their semantical twisting of a lot of words have equated hate and love. In this way: If you want secure borders, then you don't "love" your neighbor. If you speak out against the mass invasion of Europe by specific groups who refuse to assimilate, then you are a hater. And Curry's argument would be, "Well, you certainly aren't showing love to these people."

See how easy it is to mislead the masses? A peppy sermon, delivered with emotion and containing socialist buzzwords, means that Curry will be promoted as the star of the wedding by the left media. Jesus was not a socialist (sorry, my friends on the left). Jesus said to call out sin and to hate the sin but to love the sinner. He did not mean that one should enable the sin, but to help the person in sin to free himself of it. So when the citizens of Europe cry out that a large group of people from other cultures are invading, and refusing to assimilate, to learn the language, and to obey the laws, they are not haters.

The nonviolent movement worked for Dr. King and the Civil Rights movement because America is a good country, with a moral population who obeys the law. But had he or Gandhi tried their movements in Nazi Germany, they would have been crushed under the jackboot, just as Europe today is being undercut by the misguided policies of its leaders.

It's sad to see the Royal Wedding become a platform for social justice sloganeering. Bishop Curry has set back the cause of Christ, and, I submit, even the progress of black American leaders, by this little homily today. Jesus warned us that Satan prowls the earth looking for his next victim who can be converted into sin. I'm sorry we saw his little victory on Saturday

Trust me on this --

After 5 minutes of his blather (when he should have shut up and sat down) --

NOBODY WAS LISTENING.

This is the truth.

Who chose the clown? Him or her?

Also, she now has her own royal website on which trumpets her quote that she made at the UN some time ago before she was earmarked for the firm of the beast:

"I am proud to be a woman and a feminist"

God, I am so fortunate that yesterday, I was able to attend a REAL wedding. A traditional Roman Catholic wedding in which we praised and thanked God with hymns and prayer. We did not cheer or clap until the reception.
There was no social justice crap. The bride looked stunning in a real fairy princess dress of a wedding gown.

It was a small, church driven affair. Such a contrast to the "Royal" wedding.

Nobody goes to a wedding to listen to a long sermon. It ain't about the preacher. A short, sober and meaningful message in context is great and expected, but that guy was showboating.
Still nothing to get wound up about. It DID finally end, and life goes on.

The sites I was following along on, besides here, lit up like a 911 switchboard following a UFO sighting. Everyone was talking about what he said and the reaction broke down across political and skin tone lines. If you are a libby or a BLM type, you loved it. If you're a conservative and so over this damn narrative of "we was kangs dat ya all made slaves!", you hated it.

I didn't watch much of this wedding (maybe two minutes of FOX review) ...I did however see lots of comments about this black minister's 'sermon' on several sites.

Almost all negative.

I did not listen to his speech.

They slammed him on the internet! Said it started out OK and then devolved....

Hello Altura Ct.

Good article!

Well said: "The nonviolent movement worked for Dr. King and the Civil Rights movement because America is a good country, with a moral population who obeys the law. He was an utter embarrassment.

It was embarrassing just watching and hearing him Blather on and on.

I remember seeing a pic of Meghan while this old bag of hot air was letting loose and the look on her face was utter embarrassment.

Her real thoughts flashed for but a nanosecond and I saw it.

I was being snidey about him on the other thread because of how he went on about Trump in that article that was posted.

He needs to just STFU about Trump.

I have to wonder if the bishop is going to be filled with the demon Pride and Arrogance after having attended and (ruined) that portion of the wedding ceremony.

My *internal warning meter* is indicating that he is not what he appears to the public.

He was making my *shit meter* spike off the charts.

There is something evil about him. V

It's his arrogance, Vessie.

Shameful.

Seeing the thread title thinking obama somehow snuck into the wedding uninvited.

Well........ then there's Oprah. She doesn't know either the bride or groom, but she reportedly invited Meghan's mother to her house and gave her gifts in exchange for an invite.

That's balls, I tells ya.

I find myself in agreement, looking back on the event. But your observation raises a question in my mind: Are these two meters you mention, are they one meter with two names, or two individual meters in fact? And, are they original equipment, or can I add one (I probably couldn't cope with both.)

Two seperate warning systems that can merge at certain situations.

The "internal warning meter" is found around the gut where brain cells have been found.

The "Shit meter" is more in the ephemeral area of the spirit which goes off when I'm around evil manipulating people.

Not the heavy duty evil mind you, it just goes off when the lower level 'minions' are going at it and trying to deceive others.

So both were going off simultaneously. V

******s ruing everything nice.

That said, that guy isn't even Charles' son. And she's a divorced 36 year old half black.

That whole shitshow was a farce and you could see the pained look on the older family members'faces, as their 'descendant' pissed their genetic lineage into a mud puddle.

Nice.

And on twitter, black women were posting how its good to get divorced because if Cheddar man hadn't divorced her first husband she'd never be a princess.

My God what are we White people doing to ourselves and our cultural heritage, other than listening to a bunch of diaspora jews tell us we can't have a culture or a border. Only Israel and mohameddan countries are afforded such privileges because rayciss.

The Bishop's speech was over the top and inappropriate for a wedding, and from the looks on people's faces, nobody was taking him seriously. That said, the problem with Christianity is that it has intertwined itself with partisan politics ranging from far right to far left and everything in-between. Each sect thinks they're the only ones who know what true Christianity is, and they can all prove it by selectively interpreting the bible to justify their positions and their prejudices.

I still think that there's something off on this match. She's a C list at best actress who was about to age out of any decent roles with a messed up family.

Harry has more royal blood in him than the rest of the clan as the Spencer line went back to when God was a boy in England. The Windsors are mostly German.

And Charles is not Harry's Dad so he does have that going for him. That the two even came together is a mystery and a little troubling.

I find it very interesting that someone who most have never heard of appears on the world stage just four days before he stands up to Trump. Coincidence? I think the title of this thread "the Deceiver..." says it all.

What I read was that a mutual friend arranged a blind double-date and the only thing Meghan asked was, "Is he nice?" The friend said yes. And then Harry after meeting her thought she was special and that he had to up his game to be with her. Why does everything have to be a freaking conspiracy? Sometimes two strangers fall in love and that's all there is to it. Remember the lightning bolt in The Godfather? I'm sure you do.

Jeez.

The entire thing looks like much ado over nothing to me.

The basics are this (Using terminology common today):

A rich white boy who doesn't give a shit about his genetic lineage or the impact on his family meets a mixed race girl who is attractive to him to the extent he wants to marry her.

The media whores are all a in a titter over the fact that a white boy of supposedly "high raising" has married a mulatto/quadroon/octoroon/whatever and are announcing the downfall of the white race to all the world as if that has actually happened. The latter was proudly announced by a 106# shit stirrer named Sharpton who is given media time only because he is a shit stirrer.

It happens every day in this and other countries although the genders are normally reversed and the miscegenation is being done by people less well known.

Basically it is media hyped bullshit.

"I am proud to be a woman and a feminist"
The sad truth of Feminism, is that it robs women of their natural gifts and dignity, and attempts to turn them into an inferior version of men. All the while, instilling a misguided sense of entitlement and moral flexibility.

Shame on women for embracing it, and shame on men, who bear the ultimate responsibility for such nonsense being given wings, for allowing it to flourish.

She gave up her career to get married. She will be expected to have kids. She will also be expected to take part in the duties all royals go through. I'd say for practical purposes she gave "feminism" the heave ho. She may still talk about it (if it's allowed), but her life is strictly controlled now. She can't really attain much higher than she's gotten now. She'd be stupid to ever get divorced because after all this where would there be to go that's higher in the world? I think she'll hang in there, she's not stupid.

"I am proud to be a woman and a feminist."

And yet you did what every little girl wants to do, find a prince (must be rich!) marry in an elegant ceremony and then live in luxury. Oh you'll "work" and probably be bored by the ceremonial stuff, but once you get that bun in the oven, you're set for life.

A real "feminist" (in the social justice manner - I mean) would turn up her nose at marrying royalty with money.

As I've said, I'd pay real money to know what Phillip thinks of her. And Liz, come to think of it. She may charm Phillip with her play-acting, but the Queen is pretty sharp and not one to be taken in.

This is Charles' fault. He was allowed to marry a divorcee and so now any of the royal family can.

Very interesting observation. Me thinks she's a "feminist" in word only post 5/21.

As reported elsewhere, Oprah is the closest we've got to an actual queen here.
