I was just at the P.O. Box. Lots of mail. Not back home yet. Stopped at sonic for a slush. Heading back now.
Okay, I have all the envelopes opened and checks and cash pulled. I need to stamp the checks and add everything up. Church cleaning is at 2 pm today rather than in the morning like normal. Not sure why. I’ll try and have numbers for everyone today.

I always say the check is in the mail and it is, but Dennis still laughs at me! 
As a kind of “post mortem” on this year’s efforts, I noticed that snail mail was WAY down, while e-transfers such as PayPal, CashApp etc., we’re up substantially (in terms of sheer volume of transactions.) Now, e-transfers are always smaller in $-amount than snail mails, so it takes longer to hit goal. We ended up $400 or so over goal this year, however one person who sent a money order for $200 left the PAY TO blank and said buy a mower. So I dropped that into my personal account (you know who you are and THANK YOU!) and with the missionaries each ponying up $50 toward the cause, and with my kicking in another $50, I think I can get a decent replacement.
Those of you who sent cash, it did arrive. I had one envelope that looked like it had been run through a dog’s intestine (all wadded up and mangled) and I’m not going to try to deposit that one. I did notify the sender via PM though.
Anyhoo, thanks so much and we’ll do this again next June (unless someone leaves the board an endowment - lol.)
