"DEEPNET" Explorer Browser: FREE and comes with Unistaller; supposedly better performance than Firefox. Deepnet Explorer is essentially a powerful Internet Explorer plug-in. It includes an enhanced popup blocker and even detects phishing scams!

Software Publisher's Description:
Deepnet Explorer is a Web browser offering fully integrated P2P-file-sharing capabilities and a built-in RSS/Atom newsreader. Browse multiple Web sites simultaneously, block annoying pop-up ads, fill Web forms instantly, and use Auto Login to memorize and fill Web site passwords automatically. You also can share and download files with millions of users across the Gnutella P2P network while you surf the Web, and view all the latest news and Weblogs in one place with the RSS/Atom newsreader. It's the all-in-one browsing solution--you can browse the Web, share files, and read news simultaneously.

Version 1.3 contains bug fixes and interesting new features such as a Phishing Alarm, a Floating Killer, Group Tabs, and a Cookie Manager.

Download.com Review of Deepnet Explorer: 4 out of 5 star rating:

An alternative to Microsoft's ubiquitous Internet browser, Deepnet Explorer adds a few features that help make it a worthy alternative. First of all, the application has an integrated tool that blocks pop-ups, banners, and Flash ads, though it slows Web surfing considerably. One of its more innovative perks is it trolls the Gnutella P2P network for music, videos, and images. Deepnet Explorer also can bring news alerts directly to you, although in our testing the alert message hindered Web surfing in some instances. If your current browser has lost its appeal, you'll find Deepnet Explorer's added capabilities a great benefit.

Here's a sampling of the PROS/CONS:

PROS:

"Best browser I've used!..."
I have used may browsers including firefox which I feel is overrated. Started using Deepnet Explorer and have eliminated the problems with firefox of having to locate extensions and loading them, which many would not work properly. Deepnet provides a safe and secure browsing experience. I have used it daily for several months and have replaced Ie with DE. I have had online session for hours at a time without any popups. I feel that this is the best browser around and will even be better as development continues, this browser less than a year old. Way to go Deepnet.

"Very very good, easy to use..."
I have been using this browser for several days now and have had no problems with it at all. It does what it says it does and you cannot complain about that I guess and the best part, it is free. It is a tabbed browser that stops popups, phishing, etc...I like it and shall intend to keep it. I do recommend it to all and easy to use for the beginner as well. They proclaimn to be more secure than MSIE or Firefox and so I am willing to give it a try, so far it has performed excellently. I am pleased.

CONS:

"Lots of Features, lots of bugs..."
This is a very promising browser engine, but it crashed in the first 5 minutes of use. For now I will stick with Firefox. Will not keep me logged in to my personal page at Excite.com like IE or Firefox do regardless of my atempts to use auto-login feature and cookie management. Either they don't work or are too hard to configure. Does not support authenticating proxy servers. P2P engine works well and logs into Gnutella quickly and searches quickly. Floating killer failed at netscape.net. Still got floating popups. Needs advertising blocking feature in addition to popup blocking. Once the crashes and bugs are ironed out this may be worth having. It's worth a look but you won't want to switch over to it just yet.

"doesnt work behind proxy firewall.."

when other browsers worked, with same setting as ie, deepnet explorer didnt work behind proxy firewall.
