So there is no confusion, I started this movie thread on Friday (yesterday) and started another today (Saturday).

It's movie time on TB2K again. Here are a variety of movies to help kick back from the real world if only for a few hours.
I'm putting each in a separate post. That should make it easier to comment, discuss, or like a specific choice.
If you watch or download a movie, please comment or like to guide future selections.
Click the "movies" tag at the top to see a list of all previous movie threads.
Click on individual movie posters to see them full size.

Note that youtube and archive.org are very busy with people watching videos.
You may have to click the start arrow several times to get a movie to play.
Usually, it'll start playing by the 3rd or 4th "start click" so don't give up.
Once started, I have not had one stop playing.

The first movie is The Ten Commandments. This 1956 Cecil B. DeMille biblical classic stars Charlton Heston, Yul Brynner, Anne Baxter, and Edward G. Robinson.

The infant Moses is set adrift on the Nile in a basket to escape the edict from Egypt's Pharaoh Ramses I condemning all newborn Hebrew males. Saved by the pharaoh's daughter Bithiah, Moses is adopted by her and brought up in the court of her brother, Pharaoh Sethi. Moses gains Sethi's favor and the love of the Princess Nefretiri, as well as the hatred of Sethi's son, Ramses II. When his Hebrew heritage is revealed, Moses is cast out of Egypt. He makes his way across the desert where he marries, has a son, and is commanded by God to return to Egypt to free the Hebrews from slavery.

The second film Smokey and the Bandit. This 1977 driving comedy Stars Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed, Sally Field, Paul Williams, and Jackie Gleason. Strap in for a wild ride!

Bandit and Cledus are two truck-driving southerners who accept a dare from big-shots Big and Little Enos. All they have to do is pick up a truckload of beer from Texas and return it to them in Georgia within a short amount of time. Picking it up is simple enough, but as they are leaving Texas, Bandit picks up a hitchhiking bride-to-be who just left her groom, Junior, at the altar. However Junior is the son of Sheriff Buford T. Justice. When Buford and Junior discover what has happened, they go on a "high-speed pursuit" across the Southeast to catch the bandit.

The third movie is GoodFellas. This iconic 1990 gangster tale stars Ray Liotta, Robert Di Niro, Joe Pesci, and Paul Sorvino.

This film views the mob through the lives of three pivotal figures in 1960's and 70's New York. Henry Hill is a local boy turned gangster in a neighborhood full of the roughest and toughest. Tommy DeVito is a purebred gangster, who turns out to be Henry's best friend. Jimmy Conway puts the two of them together, and runs some of the biggest hijacks and burglaries the town has ever seen. After an extended jail sentence, Henry must sneak around the back of the local mob boss, Paulie Cicero, to live the life of luxury he has always dreamed of. In the end, the friends end up in a hell of a jam, and must do anything they can to save each other, and stay alive.

The fourth film is Minority Report. This 2002 sci-fi movie stars Tom Cruise, Colin Farrell, and Steve Harris.

What if crime could be stopped before it happened?

It is the near future, a future where murders have become common. A system has been established to stop the crime, it is called Precrime. 3 psychics can predict murders before they happen allowing police to stop them. This system is in operation in Washington D.C. Police officer John Anderton has stopped numerous murders in his career. One day he finds out that he is the next person to commit a murder. Now he is on the run from a system he helped become successful and trying to find out why he was set up to commit murder.

The fifth movie is The Lost Boys. This 1987 vampire comedy/horror stars Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Dianne West, Kiefer Sutherland, and Jami Gertz. This is a well-done movie with a great cast of younger talent. It is considered one of the best movies with the two Coreys (Haim and Feldman). This also makes very good use of "People are Strange" by the Doors.

- Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire.

A mother and her two sons move to a small coast town in California. The town is plagued by bikers and mysterious deaths. The younger boy makes friends with two other boys who claim to be vampire hunters while the older boy is drawn into a gang of bikers by a beautiful girl. The older boy starts sleeping days and staying out all night while the younger boy starts getting into trouble because of his friends' obsession.

The sixth film is Rawhide. This 1951 western stars Tyrone Power, Susan Hayward, Hugh Marlowe, and Jack Elam.

A single woman is traveling with her toddler niece and becomes stranded at Rawhide, a desert stagecoach stop. A fugitive murderer disguised as a deputy and three other ruthless escapees take over the station with intent to rob the next day's gold shipment. They assume she is weak and helpless...

WOW. Another fantastic set of movies this week. The ten commandments, EXCELLENT choice. Smokey and the Bandit-great! A lot of the car chase scenes were filmed near my home back when I was a teenager.
Goodfellas, everybody loves a great gangster movie. Haven't seen Minority report but I will this weekend:) And Rawhide is a superb western.

Love the variety this week, all of the movies are great choices! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A search engine must have picked up on the thread because of one the movies; likely the 10 Commandments based on today being Easter. The other movies are good, but they're not special. Also, the other movie thread I started 18 hours later has a grand total of 344 views as of now.
