There are 7 movies this week plus several classic movies posted by Housecarl.
I recommend watching or saving these soon, preferably this weekend to be safest.

This thread on MAIN has the info about the movies and is the place for discussion about them.
However, all of the movie and download links for my movie choices are located in a separate,
members-only, thread in the MEDIA CENTER at this link:

----------->>> Link to the thread containing the actual movie links (click this) <<<-----------

This should help protect the source of the movies and keep them available longer.

Click the "movies" tag at top to see a list of previous movie threads.

Movie trailers (from youtube) can be found in post #9 of this thread.

Enjoy the Show!

The first movie is The Poseidon Adventure. This 1972 water adventure stars Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, Shelley Winters, Red Buttons, and Roddy McDowall.

- Nine people explore a cruise ship at sea in a manner that turns their whole lives upside down.

A passenger ship, on her way to the scrap yard is pushed to her limits by the new owners to save on the dismantling fees. A tidal wave hits her, flipping her over so that all the internal rooms are upside down. A priest takes a mixed band of survivors on a journey through the bowels of the ship in an attempt to survive.

The second movie is A Quiet Place. This 2018 science fiction film stars Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, and Millicent Simmonds.

- In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.

On a devastated Earth overrun by lethal and ever-hearing predators of a possible extraterrestrial origin, the Abbotts struggle to survive in a desolate New York City in a new era of utter silence. As this new type of invader is attracted to noise, even the slightest of sounds can be deadly; however, it's been already twelve months since the powerful monsters' first sightings, and this resilient family still stands strong. To learn the rules of survival in this muted dystopia is essential; nevertheless, an otherwise joyous event is threatening an already frail stability. Now, more than ever, don't make a sound.

The fifth movie is The Outpost. This 2019 biographic war film stars Scott Eastwood, Caleb Jones, and Orlando Bloom. This movie is rough, coarse, and intense at times. It earns its' R rating. It also really happened.

During the Afghanistan war, several outposts were placed to control the Taliban movement and their supply chain. Camp Keating, situated in a valley surrounded by mountains, was one them. While being shot at by the Taliban was business as usual, they tried to gain respect from local village elders and have them help stop these skirmishes. One day, when 400 Taliban rallied for a surprise attack, it was up to them to leverage the poor defenses and lack of ammo and manpower to ultimately survive.

The seventh movie is Wrath of Man. This 2021 action film stars Jason Statham, Holt McCallany, Scott Eastwood, and Josh Hartnett. This film is hardcore action and gets bloody at times. It won't win any awards, but it's a good way to spend 2 hours if you like Jason Statham.

- The plot follows H, a cold and mysterious character working at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.

Mysterious and wild-eyed, a new security guard for a cash truck surprises his co-workers when he unleashes precision skills during a heist. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, his ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.

With the mix Housecarl added, everyone should be able to find something interesting to watch.

Also, this main thread is at close to 800 views now. The member-only links thread view is at roughly 100.
A normal weekend draws a total of 300-450 views on the main thread and about 100 on the links thread.

People are getting search engine hits somewhere to try to see these movies, especially the newer ones.
If you didn't realize, 2 of these movies are very recent releases.

Everyone be on your best behavior. :) We have guests, more than usual.

GUESTS: take a look around, you might like it here. Members can see the source links for the movies... every week...

I'm honestly shocked you got Quiet Place II. That's in theaters right now.

I suspect it has been shown by one of the cable networks during covid season and was captured then. The quality is too good to be someone with a video camera in a theater. The Ice Road may also be in theaters now. Yes, I was surprised when learning more about them. I did strongly suggest watching or saving this weekend.

This thread now has 2K views....
For comparison, the thread with the actual movie links has 133 views.
