Note that amazon has further taken over IMDB.
Movie posters are now hard to get so no more posters.
They can be seen at the IMDB link if interested, just not saved easily

It's movie time on TB2K again. Here are a variety of movies to help kick back from the real world if only for a few hours.
I'm putting each in a separate post. That should make it easier to comment, discuss, or like a specific choice.
If you watch or download a movie, please comment or like it to guide future selections.
The movie mix comes from youtube and archive.org. That may continue for the future.
Click the "movies" tag at top to see a list of previous movie threads.
The movie trailers are located in post #7.

Enjoy the Show!

The first movie is National Treasure: Book of Secrets. This 2007 adventure is a sequel to the original National Treasure (2004) which is also a good movie. This film stars Nicholas Cage, Diane Kruger, Ed Harris and Justin Bartha.

It's been several years since Benjamin Franklin Gates (Nicolas Cage) found the Knight's Templar and became rich and famous. Now, another treasure hunter named Mitch Wilkinson (Ed Harris) has found a missing page of the diary of John Wilkes Booth, which contains clues to the location of a lost city of gold. Ben must compete against Mitch to find the lost city. He goes to France and Great Britain to find other clues and even peeks inside the President's secret book to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

The second movie is Grand Prix. This 1966 racing film stars Jim Garner, Eva Marie Saint, Yves Montand, and Brian Bedford.

The most daring drivers in the world have gathered to compete for the 1966 Formula One championship. After a spectacular wreck in the first of a series of races, American wheelman Pete Aron is dropped by his sponsor. Refusing to quit, he joins a Japanese racing team. While juggling his career with a torrid love affair involving an ex-teammate's wife, Pete must also contend with Jean-Pierre Sarti, a French contestant who has previously won two world titles.

The third movie is War for the Planet of the Apes. This 2017 film is the third in the series restart with the 2001 Planet of the Apes. This film stars Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, and Steve Zahn. There is plenty of info given to understand this one without having seen the first 2. I don't have them to post, but have watched and liked the first 2.

Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

The fifth movie is Village of the Damned. This 1960 sci-fi horror film stars George Sanders, Barbara Shelly, and Michael Gwynn.

Two months after a strange force causes all of the residents of Midwich, England to lose consciousness for several hours, the women of childbearing age learn they are pregnant. All of the children are born normally, but all of them have strange glowing eyes and they appear to have a shared consciousness or the ability to communicate telepathically. As the children age the authorities grow increasingly wary of their powers. It quickly becomes apparent that the children are seeking to control everything.

One of the best motor racing themed movies ever made.

I saw it in the theater three times when it came out in 1966.

Some rather groundbreaking cinematography for the time.
