Getting an early start on the weekend movies. I'm still in shock at finding the first one.

First up, who wants to live forever? A full-length version of the 1986 original HIGHLANDER in HD! Yes, that highlander.
Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, Clancy Brown

- He fought his first battle on the Scottish Highlands in 1536. He will fight his greatest battle on the streets of New York City in 1986. His name is Connor MacLeod. He is immortal.
- There can be only one.
- Don't lose your head

The 2nd feature is the 1969 John Wayne and Rock Hudson western The UNDEFEATED in HD.

After the Civil War, ex-Confederate soldiers heading for a new life in Mexico run into ex-Union cavalrymen selling horses to the Mexican government but they must join forces to fight off Mexican bandits and revolutionaries.

The 3rd feature is one for Sam Elliott fans. AVENGER is a 2006 film made for TNT. If you like Sam Elliott and have not seen this Equalizer-like film, you are in for a real treat.

- After his own daughter was killed in Panama in 1994, former C.I.A. Agent Calvin Dexter became a private "specialist" in cases which wouldn't reach justice trough the regular legal channels.
- No peace without justice...

Highlander (the original; it's not Highlander without Christopher Lambert starring) is a good flick.
It also has Roxanne Hart's bare boobs in it, for nearly as long as Linda Hamilton shows hers in the original Terminator flick, and Roxanne's are better... :D

I hope people like the selection. These are all favorites and good movies IMHO. Finding Highlander and Undefeated in HD as well as Avenger surprised me.
In the college dorms I stayed at decades ago, someone would often put Highlander in at 10-11pm at night in a large communal living room with a big screen TV and a VCR. Good times.
On Friday or Saturday nights, someone would rent a newly released movie or 2 and usually 1/3 of the small dorm would watch often with comments. Remember to rewind before return!

I grew up watching John Wayne movies and Undefeated is a good one. They were on TV many Sunday afternoons sponsored by a vinyl siding company.

I'd like to put up Roadhouse, but it's not available so far. Remember Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliott cleaning up the bars? If you liked that, you'll like Avenger. Sam Elliott is good as an international Equalizer.

I recall a good line of dialogue from the "Undefeated" film.

The Duke and Rock Hudson were sharing a half pint size bottle of booze. Hudson smiles and says "Some day I plan to write the Social History of Bourbon!"

Highlander. Best movie soundtrack EVER.

Such a shame that Freddie disliked "New York, New York" so much. The tiny fragment from the movie is all there is.

And The Kurgan is a wonderful villain. "Nuns, no sense of humor"

This driving scene (starting at 1:40) is very memorable and it includes the New York, New York clip. "Have you ever played chicken..?"

(this contains spoilers that could cause nightmares... or a good laugh - 4:40 long)
