First up is HEARTBREAK RIDGE. This Clint Eastwood film was released in 1986. Clint Eastwood is at his best in the role of "Gunny Highway." This is an excellent film about patriotic values, military camaraderie and old grizzled military veterans.

- Hard-nosed, hard-living Marine Gunnery Sergeant Tom Highway (Clint Eastwood) clashes with his superiors and his ex-wife as he takes command of a spoiled recon platoon with a bad attitude.

The 2nd film is THE DEAD 2. This 2013 zombie flick is set in India. It's good if you like zombie movies. These are older-school, George Romero type zombies, not the newer, world-record sprinter types.

- An infectious epidemic spreads through India as an American turbine engineer learns that his pregnant girlfriend is trapped near the slums of Mumbai. Now he must battle his way across a 300-mile wasteland of the ravenous undead.

The 3rd feature is RESCUE FROM GILLIGAN'S ISLAND. This 1978 film returns to our favorite crew of island castaways.

The 4th film is THE REVENGERS. This 1972 western stars William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, and Woody Strode.

- When a rancher's family is massacred by a gang of outlaws, he assembles a mean team of convicts as his posse to pursue the killers.
- He bought six men out of hell and they brought it with them.

The final movie is STAGECOACH. This 1939 John Ford film was John Wayne's transition from B-westerns to the films that made him famous. It was nominated for several Oscar awards and won 2.

- A stagecoach sets out across the desert with a load of passengers, looking to catch up with a military unit and drop off the wife of the officer in charge. All the other passengers have their own reasons for getting to the destination, including a vengeful outlaw, a prostitute, a drunken doctor and a cad. However the journey is made incredibly hazardous by the fact that Geronimo is on the warpath in the area they must pass through.

I watched Stagecoach this afternoon. It is definitely a good western adventure.
Some of the desert views are incredible. They knew how to get the most out of the B&W movie film and the filming locations.
John Carradine looked familiar then I remembered he was in the Grapes of Wrath which was filmed a year after Stagecoach.
What a bio: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Carradine

Is there a Dead 1? I would like to see that one as well.

There is the first The Dead from 2010. This is the review and info link for it: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1386925/

I looked earlier, but did not find a copy on youtube or archive.org to show. I would have done a double feature or something.

If anyone has a safe link to a quality version of The Dead, please post it. It's similar to The Dead 2, except set in Africa.

It'd been a few years since watching it, but you are correct. Cheesy as only an early 80's film could be, yet Clint still showed them how to do it right.

I've looked several times for an open source of The Outlaw Josey Wales, but no luck. That would be a great one to post.

Thanks. Part of my intent with the movie threads is to be an escape from the political pressure of seemingly every news story that's posted. Jumping someone via an attack meme doesn't help.
No source is pure as the wind driven snow. Youtube also has major issues, yet threads like this would be difficult without it or something similar.
