First up is the high octane thriller DEATH PROOF. It has Kurt Russell and a gaggle of females in a Quintin Tarantino film honoring the cheap early 70's "grindhouse" thrillers. They spent a great deal of money to make this film look old and cheaply made. It's a thrilling ride, but can get serious in some parts. If you are put off by the bar talk in the first part, just wait, it turns into a serious car film. You should read the movie review link below on this one. It's good, but not for kids.

- Two separate sets of voluptuous women are stalked at different times by a scarred stuntman who uses his "death proof" cars to execute his murderous plans.

(Note: I also found good links for the first half of "Grindhouse" which was Planet Terror as well as the entire "Night at the Grindhouse" but I'm not posting those without specific request. Planet Terror would be too much for some adults here.)

The second film doesn't slow down with the 1991 action thriller STONE COLD. It's a Brian Bosworth movie and he did well with it. Again, this one isn't for kids.

- A tough Alabama cop is blackmailed by the FBI into going undercover in a violent Mississippi biker gang.

I've taken a bit of a break from all the political stuff and watched some movies. There are some awful ones out there! I've seen Planet Terror... that gun leg was totally fascinating.

If you like Death Proof--even if you don't--you should check out the second half of Grindhouse: "Planet Terror". Zombies, laughs, and strippers with full-auto rifles built into their legs.

Frau Baron was a huge Kurt Russell fan.

I especially liked him in Big Trouble In Little China and 3000 Miles To Graceland.

For those interested in Planet Terror, it was the first part of a "complete double feature" like in the old days at the cheap old theaters some of which were former strip clubs (a grindhouse). They even made fake movie previews to further the old experience. These were rated R previews. As an example, at the 2 minute mark, Danny Trejo is in a pool with 2 topless women in the first fake preview. Planet terror is gory in parts especially toward the end. I'd rate it a hard R overall.
In the intermission between feature films, there were more fake previews. Death Proof (above) was the second feature film.

It was originally released as Night at the Grindhouse, then later the 2 feature films were released as separate films.

BTW, if anyone finds Rosario Dawson (one of the two main chicks in "Deathproof", along with Rose McGowan, still in her pre-Wall days) hot for a wog, go see the movie "Alexander". She shows it all there. McGowan shows what she has in multiple movies, so easy hunting on that one.
