It's movie time on TB2K again. Here are a variety of movies to help kick back from the real world if only for a few hours.
I'm putting each in a separate post. That should make it easier to comment, discuss, or like a specific choice.

The first movie is Dawn of the Dead. This 1978 George Romero zombie classic is the theatrical cut. It is also up to 4K resolution (very high!) if you have the monitor and internet bandwidth for 4K. Otherwise, choose a lower resolution to watch (and/or download with a youtube downloader program).

In this sequel of "Night of the Living Dead," it's a few weeks later after the events of "Night." The situation is getting worse, so two reporters, along with two SWAT team members, steal a helicopter to find a place where they can hide from flesh-eating zombies. They find a secluded mall and decide to stop there for the night in order to get some sleep. Then, they decide to stay in the mall for much longer facing expected and unexpected challenges.

The second movie is Swamp Thing. This 1982 Wes Craven classic stars Louis Jordan, Adrienne Barbeau, and Ray Wise. This is a fun, campy movie.

- Science transformed him into a monster. Love changed him even more!

After a violent incident with a special chemical, a research scientist is turned into a swamp plant monster.

The third movie is The Killers. This 1964 crime thriller stars Lee Marvin, Angie Dickinson, Ronald Reagan (the president) and John Cassavetes. The president was not a nice man in this film. It was his only "bad guy" role as an actor.

Two professional killers fulfill a contract hit on an auto mechanics teacher in a school for the blind, but are surprised that he does not try to flee and appears to welcome his fate. Charlie Strom, the older of the two hit-men, wonders why they have been overpaid for the assignment, and when he finds out that the victim, Johnny North, a former Formula One race car driver, had been involved in a million dollar robbery, they decide to pursue the matter. They become convinced that discovering the identity of the man who hired them is the key to finding the stolen money as they search out North's past with brutal efficiency.

The fourth movie is Cheyenne Autumn. This 1964 John Ford western history film stars Richard Widmark, Carol Baker, Karl Malden, Ricardo Montalban, Arthur Kennedy, James Stewart, and John Carradine. You can easily play "spot the star" with this one.

The Cheyenne, tired of broken U.S. government promises, head for their ancestral lands but a sympathetic cavalry officer is tasked to bring them back to their reservation.

The fifth movie is Snowpiercer. This 2013 end of the world dystopian train film stars Chris Evans, Ed Harris, and John Hurt.

- In a future where a failed climate-change experiment has killed all life except for the lucky few who boarded the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe, a new class system emerges.

Set in 2031, the entire world is frozen except for those aboard the Snowpiercer. For seventeen years, the world's survivors are on a train hurtling around the globe creating their own economy and class system. Led by Curtis (Chris Evans), a group of lower-class citizens living in squalor at the back of the train are determined to get to the front of the train and spread the wealth around. Each section of the train holds new surprises for the group who have to battle their way through. A revolution is underway.

Good catch. The uploader didn't add the .mp4 to the swamp thing filename at archive.org. I added it to the link.
I did a test download and it seems to be fixed now.

Dawn of the Dead is youtube. Use any standard youtube downloader, but would I suggest one where you can select the resolution of the download since it is up to 4K resolution.
This is the one I've been using for awhile with no issues or ads: Youtube Downloader HD - Free Youtube Video Downloader

Just finished watching the Killers. GREAT !!!! movie. Highly recommend seeing it-a really good whodunit. And our president Ronald Reagan as a bad guy, wow!
