Let's get political this weekend at the movies.
First up is a Robert Redford classic the Three Days of the Condor. It's a well done 1975 espionage thriller about the CIA, the USA, and the politics of oil.
This was timely considering the late 1973 Arab oil embargo, and US gas lines, due to the US support for Israel in the 1973 mideast war.
- A bookish CIA researcher finds all his co-workers dead, and must outwit those responsible until he figures out who he can really trust.

Next up is Jimmy Stewart in the 1939 Frank Capra classic Mr. Smith goes to Washington.

Rod Sterling, of Twilight Zone fame, wrote the script.
- United States military leaders plot to overthrow the President because he supports a nuclear disarmament treaty and they fear a Soviet sneak attack.
