You need more caffeine.

They're pointing to the "Members Only" sign and one is doing the "Thumbs up".

Blame it on me living in Atlanta---usually upside-down fingers spread out do not mean just "pointing" around here...also didn't realize (didn't see the perspective between tehm)) that htey were pointing at the sign

We are blood now. Because we went through it together. Good bros to have around, trust me. Never got out of the sight of the other, we stuck like a bounding overwatch. One fluid conga line, never out of sight of the other........When a man does that naturally you KNOW when the shooting starts you want these men by your side.
Respect to all 3 of you, and thanks for your indispensable reporting! I expected a higher causality count today than actually happened.

It’s called orbiting and it is how police helicopters operate. Which ever side the observer is on in the cockpit is the direction of turns in the orbit. The observer has binoculars and they most likely have a flir ball with a day camera also. This has live uplink capability to feed to the higher ups and planners so they have a better idea of what’s going on on the ground. This is all normal operations.

I don’t like saying trust me, I know what I’m talking about, but trust me I know what I’m talking about.View attachment 243829
Hey cool pic and all, but do you have idea what your talking about????

;)

Notice how different were the faces, dress of the people outside looking all normal, and the ‘people’ we see from all the inside craziness?

Talk about men are from mars, and they’s are from,,, errr,, uhhh, whatever spoor created the them’s.

Almost looked like they were totally different crowds from totally different worlds.

I know it's getting hard to tell what's going on, but yes - the guys are pointing to the members only sign.

What else have I forgotten to pass on? Oh... there was a local area phone alert; regional incident status was called - so MPD can call in backup from surrounding counties. Snipers are visible on the Capitol roof. Two people shot inside; unclear the circumstances or victims; one is female - looked to be a staffer, to my eyes.

So, the monikers of that "gang o' guys" are Dazed & Confused, Alfaman & CTBattfirechief. Chief is headed back home on the train at 5 pm; other two headed to hotel.

Alfaman on the left, dazed and confused in the middle,CTbattfirechief on the right. It was a good day!

HOw true. Today's protesters were clean well groomed and decent. Unlike antifa/blm protesters; they look like a rolling freak show. Some of today's protesters were in suit and tie.

Thanks to all who brought this thread to us- particularly the folks who went and took the shots.
I hope it's ok to save them?

What a day!

We (Chicory, Icachkn and I) arrived at Union Station around 9:00. We headed straight to the meet up location, but no one was there yet, so we headed to the area behind the Capital building to set up camp. We were opposite the right hand stairs as you are facing the building, right above the walkway. Not many people were there yet, so we had the opportunity to pick a good spot. Headed back to Union Station around 11:00 to get some breakfast to bring back for the girls and I.

It was amazing meeting so many Patriots and being part of what was a very positive and embracing crowd. We were talking with people and taking lots of pictures. Unfortunately we did not do a good job of meeting up with our other TB2K folks. I feel bad about that.

When the breach happened, it was like slow motion. A few people pushed the barricades, and were pushed back. Then a few more further down. It sort of started and stopped a couple of times, but once it went it went pretty fast. The cops (very few of them for the crowd they were responsible for) scurried this way and that, but truthfully I saw little effort to really stop anyone. In fact, the police seemed to concede ground willingly, at least on our end. Rumors were flying about what was happening, and we honestly did not realize right away that the building itself had been compromised until the girl was shot. The staircase we were across from is the only one that the crowd never got to the top of. When it became obvious that the wave was headed for the building and the police were retreating, we grabbed our stuff and headed to the periphery to see what developed.

Once things seemed to stabilize, we walked over to the steps for some pictures, and then down the whole backside and up the other staircases. There was no sense that the crowd was violent or that things were going to escalate. In fact, the majority of police officers were just hanging out and chatting with protestors very casually. We went to the top of the farthest left staircase, and the police were lounging against the pillars and talking with the crowd. Icachkn and I started heading around to the front of the building, but our path was narrow and crowded and without a clear exit, I was not comfortable going further, so we retreated.

We headed out around 4:00 as we were freezing and we wanted to get out of DC before dark. We never did meet up with the TB2K group. Our phones were low on juice, as we had taken many pictures and been communicating with our husbands and children at home and trying to keep up with the news and speeches. The ability to recharge on the fly is an important one to address before our next outing!

My take away from the day is that this was not a violent or scary crowd or atmosphere at all. It was obvious that there were Antifa and BLM in the crowd, but the only time all day that I felt unsafe or worried was the moment when it was clear the crowd was heading up the stairs. We watched our backs, exercised situational awareness and had a rather enjoyable time.

Pictures to follow ASAP.

Edited to add: Alfaman and Dazed, were you guys walking behind us on our way back to Union Station? OMG you look just like the men we chatted with as we walked! Wish we had met up with you!!

This thread brought tears to my eyes.

Thank you all. I wish I could have been there to witness history. I am thankful you are all safe. God bless you patriots.

Ok, up and first cup of coffee on board
[Q
gang signs? really, you guys?

(someone will have to explain to me what they mean as I have no clue) :)

As one of the infamous trio in that picture, I can assure you those were NOT gang signs. It was three tired and cold men pointing out that WE the people are the members. If i remember correctly, we were at the side steps of the Capitol chatting with some folks and were all talking about the "members only" sign at a place that was built and is currently maintained with our money. At that point in time, the only thing that had happened to that sign is that was being used for a photo op. We had just finished helping out a young woman who had been peppersprayed and were regrouping as to where we were going next.

After that pic was taken we headed down around the other side of the building, We had heard flashbangs going off earlier, from our location in the back of the building and we knew there was a crowd there, but when we came back around (after getting a good whiff of pepper spray)and saw the front of the building, our jaws dropped. It was a sea of people all the way across the lawn and up the front steps. people were on the scaffolding, trump signs and american flags were hanging off of the scaffolding. We had heard of stories that people had gotten inside and had heard that one person had already been shot, but no confirmation at that time. Getting news was next to impossible on the scene due to overloaded and blocked cell phone sites. We saw the crowd beginning to change as the afternoon wore on, at least from where we were at. Bad actors were beginning to show up here and there,

We moved across the front of the Capitol, down on the street level. and began to make our way back towards Union Station. Again, peaceful crowds down on our level. peaceful but pissed!! The vast majority of people in the area were peaceful. I have to laugh at the "rightous indignation" of the so called press about what happened yesterday. I know that none of us who were on the ground there wanted violence. We all watched over this past year as cities burned, from one side of this nation to the other. New York for all intents and purposes is a dead city followed by portland seattle and others. not a PEEP from anyone in the media or political class other than to see who could drop to their knees the fastest to worship their new Masters. and yes that included the cops "kneeling in solidarity"

No one knelt yesterday I can tell you that. Every one of us there saw the power of what a mob can do. I will speak for myself here on what I am going to say next. What I expected yesterday was a demonstration by we the people at the seat of our government, to have then listen to evidence and then make a decision based on the evidence. It NEVER should have gotten to the point that congress had to even do this. This BS should have been stopped butt cold at the state level months ago but it wasn't. Cowardly legislatures abicated their constitutional responsibility to unelected and appointed election officials and secretaries of state.

When the smoke cleared from this travesty of an election, our state governments continued to punt the ball. Instead of demanding openness and audits they cowered and said "accept the results". When the President called BS on that and demanded that things be done to get to the bottom of the steal, he was mocked, his supporters were mocked. Courts wouldn't even take it up. Learn from this everyone, you can be right? but if a court won't take your case? it doesn't matter. "Rule of law" ya know.

The SCROTUS punted twice, first on Pennsylvania's election issues and then afterwards with the Texas case. They were AFRAID of riots. Well "mr roberts" (I'll be damned if i will call you "justice"),the end result of YOUR cowardness, was the death of four people yesterday as the people finally snapped. If ALL of these inept, cowardly scumbags had done THEIR jobs, the people would not have shown up close to a half million strong. A dynamite factory waiting for a match. If Antifa, BLM and the rest of the nitwits had been slapped down hard in the beginning once the destruction started, we wouldn't be here now.

We will never know what happened, what lit the fuse yesterday. But lit it was. I was proud to be there, to see history being made. I was proud to stand with alfaman and dazednconfused. We saw it happen, a front row seat. None of us there wanted this to go sideways. I will confess that I'm not shedding any tears for our so called lawmakers cowering under chairs in fear. Let them take a look at their own mortality for a change and maybe they will understand the frustration of all of us. Maybe, I doubt it.

Alfa and Dazed, we did work well together didn't we. we watched out for each other, had each others backs always. I will always remember it. a brotherhood. Oh and thank you all for those nice comments about us *Grin* Ladies this man has been off the market for 41 fantastic years :)(but she's a bit pissed at me right now for going, after she saw what was going on).

We are in for perilous times my friends. Joe and the 'ho have no idea what they are walking into. For four years, THEIR side tried to sink this nation and remove this president. Congratulations you two asshats, you "caught the roadrunner" NOW what are you going to do with him. You got what you wanted, are you ready for what that means. I doubt it.

May God have mercy on us.

Unfortunately, I have a flip phone. Old, like me. The night before the rally I figured out the picture thing. Now, I have to get them off my phone. THAT will take my son. As soon as that happens, I will post any picture that doesn't show me doing anything illegal.

OK, well maybe no pictures......

Guys! Thanks for the pics & stories. I was there with a client of mine that drove in. Due to back problems, he was forced to leave at 11:30am. I was on my own. When I got to the Capitol Building the tear gas just started, while I was talking to my wife.....poof, cell service gone! At that point, I was king of glad that my wife didn't join me in DeeCee. Time to go in! Spent half an hour, maybe an hour, looking around the inside of the Capitol Building. Sat with a guy named Nick that I had met earlier in the day. I then went to the front doors and the guy at the door said that I couldn't leave. People still coming in, no one being allowed to leave. BAD SIGN! I called my DW and let her know she might have to pony up some dough tonight for bail. Needless to say, she wasn't happy. I hung out by the front door. People started to push their way out. I joined them. On the way out the door, The same guy that said I couldn't leave, told me on the way out that "they" were on "our" side. I stayed around till 4 or so, before my walk back.
The experience wasn't cheap. It WAS worth the price, though!

Pretty sure, for now, they are looking for the ones who broke into the chamber. Our guys did nothing wrong.

They'll be looking for our guys ( and you ) in about 2 years, I figure. Once they can steal some more governorships.
Just concerned about their safety. Hope you're right and that they never look for them!

So it seems we had a rouge group of Trump supporters that invaded the house of representatives and ti add to the problem the DC government had the cell phone towers shut down and this may have made things worse as they do not want people to communicate.

They moved to fast at the wrong time and place! They needed to start in the states that rigged the election and had better be 20,000. or more strong and armed or they will fail at detaining the officials that did this. The state officials disenfranchised the people of their own state. Pa had more than enough time to decertify the election and why that did not happen is a question and the same in other states where this happened.

Got home about an hour ago. Hoping Chicory shares the picture of she, Icachkn and I when she has a chance to recover from our journey. It was an amazing experience. I can forever say that I was part of the "insurrection" that allowed the Insurrection Act to be implemented! I feel horrible for the woman who lost her life, but other than that I am proud that millions of pissed off Patriots took to the streets of DC and no police were injured (see edit below), no stores looted, no cars or buildings were burned, I witnessed no violence, and everyone even took their damn trash with them because they left us no freaking garbage cans anywhere (and yet the place was not littered at all)! Such a staged event, it is almost comical! Buckle up boys and girls. Its on.

Edited to add that reports are that a Police Officer was killed. I don't know if I believe that, because I hadn't even heard until now that one was injured, but I concede that I might be mistaken and will wait for more information.
