Dennis said the board needs comedy, so try some of these, mostly suggested by others in the niche film thread.
If this doesn't work, we can always fall back to doomer movies. :)

It's comedy movie time on TB2K. Here are a variety of movies to help kick back from the real world if only for a few hours.
I'm putting each in a separate post. That should make it easier to comment, discuss, or like a specific choice.
If you watch or download a movie, please comment or like to guide future selections.
Click the "movies" tag at the top to see a list of all previous movie threads.
Click on individual movie posters to see them full size.
The movie trailers are located in post #8.

Enjoy the Show!

:popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1::popcorn1:

There are other comedies already posted like a few from the pink panther series,
life of brian, the hallelujah trail, the mask, cactus jack, etc.
Just click the "movies" tag at top....

If you have links to other comedies, add them to the this thread.

The sixth movie is Monkey Business. This 1952 comedy stars Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, Ginger Rogers, and Charles Coburn.

- A chemist finds his personal and professional life turned upside down when one of his chimpanzees finds the fountain of youth.

Barnaby Fulton is a research chemist working on a fountain of youth pill for a chemical company. While trying a sample dose on himself, he accidentally gets a dose of a mixture added to the water cooler and believes his potion is what is working. The mixture temporarily causes him to feel and act like a teenager, including correcting his vision. When his wife gets a dose that is even larger, she regresses even further into her childhood. When an old boyfriend meets her in this state, he believes that her never wanting to see him again means a divorce and a chance for him.

Now I have an excuse to sit down. We need some good comedy, so thank you. This is what the doctor should order.

Love Holy Grail. Love it. The Book of Armaments is probably my favorite part.

A Reading from the Book of Armaments! Chapter 4, Verses 16 to 20:

"Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... "

Skip a bit, brother.

Oh yes. Right.

"Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three. Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

One and only bump for comedy.

Note that the youtube version of #4 (flim-flam man) was removed by youtube the day after I found it. It had been posted for several years with only a few views. The day after several look at it, they remove it. That's not the first time youtube has acted that way. Sorry for that.

However, the archive.org link for #4 is fine to watch or download.

I stayed up until almost 3 watching Murder and Flim Flam. Had seen Murder but not Flim Flam. Both excellent! Attempted to watch Holy Grail but have to be in the mood for that.

But just wanted to say Thank You! I appreciate all the work you do on this. It does help time go by and helps get me out of my “funk”. Your selections are great!!
