I ran into the entire original Planet of the Apes movie series. They were recently posted (June 5th) and I don't know how long they'll be available. Save and/or watch now if interested. You know what these are about so I'll post in an abbreviated manner.

I'm really stumbling into things today. With only 14 episodes, I'm sure this was wonderful TV, but Firefly only had 15 episodes and we all know how great Firefly was so maybe this was OK. The video quality on the TV series is very good.

Planet of the Apes TV Series (1974)

The series begins with the crash of an Earth spaceship that encountered a time warp while approaching Alpha Centauri on August 19, 1980. The spaceship is manned by three astronauts, one of whom has died in the crash. The other two astronauts, Colonel Alan Virdon and Major Peter J. Burke, are unconscious but are rescued by a human who carries them to an old bomb shelter. After the human opens a book containing historical text and pictures of Earth circa 2500, the two astronauts are convinced that they are indeed on a future Earth.

They were pretty much like the movies, only the humans could talk. Not sure but I may have seen some of the episodes before, but for sure not all of them. No idea why, as I really liked all of the movies. It may have been during the time right after one of my kids broke our TV. I was newly divorced and it was quite a while until I was able to get a new one.
