There are 9 movies this week plus the classic films added by Housecarl.
I recommend watching or saving these soon.

This thread on MAIN has the info about the movies and is the place for discussion about them.
However, all of the movie and download links for my movie choices are located in a separate,
members-only, thread in the MEDIA CENTER at this link:

----------->>> Link to the thread containing the actual movie links (click this) <<<-----------

This should help protect the source of the movies and keep them available longer.

Click the "movies" tag at top to see a list of previous movie threads.

Movie trailers (from youtube) can be found in post #11 of this thread.

Enjoy the Show!

The first movie is Saturday Night Fever. This 1977 music drama stars John Travolta, Karen Gorney, Barry Miller, and Joseph Cali.
Watch it again.

Nineteen-year-old Brooklyn native Tony Manero lives for Saturday nights at the local disco, where he's king of the club, thanks to his stylish moves on the dance floor. But outside of the club, things don't look so rosy. At home, Tony fights constantly with his father and has to compete with his family's starry-eyed view of his older brother, a priest. Nor can he find satisfaction at his dead-end job at a small paint store. However, things begin to change when he spies Stephanie Mangano in the disco and starts training with her for the club's dance competition. Stephanie dreams of the world beyond Brooklyn, and her plans to move to Manhattan just over the bridge soon change Tony's life forever.

The second movie is Men In Black. This 1997 action comedy stars Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Linda Fiorentino, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

They are the best-kept secret in the universe. Working for a highly funded yet unofficial government agency, Kay and Jay are the Men in Black, providers of immigration services and regulators of all things alien on Earth. While investigating a series of unregistered close encounters, the MIB agents uncover the deadly plot of an intergalactic terrorist who is on a mission to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies currently in residence in New York City.

The third movie is Men In Black 2. This is part 2 of the MIB series.

Kay and Jay reunite to provide our best, last and only line of defense against a sinister seductress who levels the toughest challenge yet to the MIBs untarnished mission statement: protecting the earth from the scum of the universe. It's been four years since the alien-seeking agents averted an intergalactic disaster of epic proportions. And now it's a race against the clock as Jay must convince Kay-who not only has absolutely no memory of his time spent with the Men In Black, but is also the only living person left with the expertise to save the galaxy-to reunite with the MIB before the earth submits to ultimate destruction.

The fifth movie is Men In Black 4. This is part 4 of the MIB series. Not well liked, but here it is to complete the set.

After an eye-opening encounter of the third kind, the secret MiB organisation's newest recruit, Agent M, finds herself under the wing of the heroic Agent H in cosmopolitan London, when a shape-shifting duo of intergalactic assassins executes an alien aristocrat. Now, with a devastating super-weapon of mass destruction hidden somewhere on Earth, the Men in Black will leave no stone unturned to retrieve it. However, heavy clouds of mistrust and a scent of betrayal envelop the once-incorruptible agency. Is there a well-placed mole in their midst?

The sixth movie is The Fourth Kind. This 2009 sci-fi horror mystery stars Milla Jovich, Elias Koteas, and Will Patton. Think of The Blair Witch Project applied to alien abduction.

In 1972, a scale of measurement was established for alien encounters. When a UFO is sighted, it is called an encounter of the first kind. When evidence is collected, it is known as an encounter of the second kind. When contact is made with extraterrestrials, it is the third kind. The next level, abduction, is the fourth kind. Modern-day, Alaska, where-mysteriously since the 1960s-a disproportionate number of the population has been reported missing every year. Despite multiple FBI investigations of the region, the truth has never been discovered. Here in this remote region, psychologist Dr. Abigail Tyler began videotaping sessions with traumatized patients and unwittingly discovered some of the most disturbing evidence of alien abduction ever documented. The Fourth Kind exposes the terrified revelations of multiple witnesses. Their accounts of being visited by alien figures all share disturbingly identical details, the validity of which is investigated throughout the film.

The seventh movie is Step Brothers. This 2008 comedy stars Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and Mary Steenburgen.

- Two aimless middle-aged losers still living at home are forced against their will to become roommates when their parents marry.

Brennan Huff and Dale Doback are both about 40 when Brennan's mom and Dale's dad marry. The sons still live with the parents so they must now share a room. Initial antipathy threatens the household's peace and the parents' relationship. Dad lays down the law: both slackers have a month to find a job. Out of the job search and their love of music comes a pact that leads to friendship but more domestic disarray compounded by the boys' sleepwalking. Hovering nearby are Brennan's successful brother and his lonely wife: the brother wants to help sell his step-father's house, the wife wants Dale's attention, and the newlyweds want to retire and sail the seven seas. Can harmony come from the discord?

The eighth movie is Blow Out. This 1981 crime drama stars John Travolta, Nancy Allen, and John Lithgow.

- A movie sound recordist accidentally records the evidence that proves that a car accident was actually murder and consequently finds himself in danger.

This stylish Brian De Palma thriller plays off the theme of the unsuspecting witness who discovers a crime and is thereby put in grave danger, but with a novel twist. Jack Terry is a master audio technician who makes his living by recording unique sounds for grade-B horror movies. Late one evening, he is recording sounds for use in his movies when he hears something unexpected through his sound equipment and records it. Curiosity gets the better of him when the media become involved, and he begins to unravel the pieces of a nefarious conspiracy. As he struggles to survive against his shadowy enemies and expose the truth, he does not know whom he can trust.

The ninth movie is Turner and Hooch. This 1989 crime comedy stars a big dog, Tom Hanks, Mare Winningham, and Craig T. Nelson.

- A detective must adopt a rambunctious dog in order to help him find a killer.

Scott Turner has 3 days left in the local police department before he moves to a bigger city to get some "real" cases, not just misdemeanors. Then Amos Reed is murdered, and Scott Turner sets himself on the case. The closest thing to a witness in the case is Amos Reed's dog, Hooch, which Scott Turner has to take care of.

The Siege - Full Action Movie

The Siege - Full Action Movie “The Battle of Haarlem” is inspired by the true story of the siege of Haarlem (The Netherlands) by the Spaniards in 1572 during the Eighty Years’ War between the Netherlands and Spain. In the lead is the legend Kenau, who led an army of women and managed to keep the city out of the Spanish Duke of Alva’s hands for long enough that the Dutch Prince, William of Orange, was able to drive the Spanish out. It is the history of the birth of a nation.
