There are 7 movies this week.
I recommend watching or saving these sooner rather than later.

This thread on MAIN has the info about the movies and is the place for discussion about them, as before.
However, all of the movie and download links are located in a separate, members-only, thread in the MEDIA CENTER at this link:

----------->>> Link to the thread containing the actual movie links <<<-----------

This should help protect the source of the movies and keep them available longer.

If you watch or download a movie, please comment or like to guide future selections.
Click the "movies" tag at top to see a list of previous movie threads.

Movie trailers (from youtube) can be found in post #9 of this thread.
Click the "movies" tag at the top of this thread to see a list of all movies posted in the past.

Enjoy the Show!

- The question of whether or not we are alone in the universe has been answered.

The ultimate encounter when mysterious and powerful aliens launch an all out invasion against the human race. The spectacle begins when massive spaceships appear in Earth's skies. But wonder turns to terror as the ships blast destructive beams of fire down on cities all over the planet. Now the world's only hope lies with a determined band of survivors, uniting for one last strike against the invaders - before it's the end of mankind.

The second movie is Independence Day: Resurgence. This 2016 sci-fi adventure stars Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Jesse Usher, Bill Pullman, and Sela Ward.

- Two decades after the first Independence Day invasion, Earth is faced with a new extra-Solar threat. But will mankind's new space defenses be enough?

For two long decades of peace--after the devastating alien invasion that threatened to obliterate the Earth and all life forms in Independence Day (1996)--the world has been steeling itself against an inevitable second wave of extraterrestrial attacks. As the nations' experts and the director of the Earth Space Defence program, David Levinson, work in unison, combing the skies for signs of hostile activity, in the meantime, an invisible and even greater spaceship flotilla enters our solar system, bent on harvesting our planet's resources. This time, it's up to the old heroes--including the former President of the United States, Thomas Whitmore--and the next generation of the Earth's guardians to defend humanity, when all hope seems lost. Can the earthlings emerge victorious in the ultimate showdown?

The third movie is Interstellar. This 2014 sci-fi adventure stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon, and John Lithgow. This is a good movie, but you have to pay attention.

- A team of explorers travel through a wormhole in space in an attempt to ensure humanity's survival.

In the near future around the American Midwest, Cooper, an ex-science engineer and pilot, is tied to his farming land with his daughter Murph and son Tom. As devastating sandstorms ravage Earth's crops, the people of Earth realize their life here is coming to an end as food begins to run out. Eventually stumbling upon a N.A.S.A. base near Cooper's home, he is asked to go on a daring mission with a few other scientists into a wormhole because of Cooper's scientific intellect and ability to pilot aircraft unlike the other crew members. In order to find a new home while Earth decays, Cooper must decide to either stay, or risk never seeing his children again in order to save the human race by finding another habitable planet.

The fifth movie is Gattaca. This 1997 sci-fi drama stars Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, Jude Law, and Gore Vidal.

In the not-too-distant future, a less-than-perfect man wants to travel to the stars. Society has categorized Vincent Freeman as less than suitable given his genetic make-up and he has become one of the underclass of humans that are only useful for menial jobs. To move ahead, he assumes the identity of Jerome Morrow, a perfect genetic specimen who is a paraplegic as a result of a car accident. With professional advice, Vincent learns to deceive DNA and urine sample testing. The sixth movie is Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile. This 1978 crime mystery stars Peter Ustinov, Bette Davis, Mia Farrow, John Finch, Olivia Hussey, George Kennedy, Angela Lansbury, and David Niven.

- As Hercule Poirot enjoys a luxurious cruise down the Nile, a newlywed heiress is found murdered on board. Can Poirot identify the killer before the ship reaches the end of its journey?

Almost everyone on the S.S. Karnak, cruising the Nile, has a reason to want spoiled, selfish and beautiful heiress Linnet Ridgeway Doyle (Lois Chiles) dead. Her jewels are coveted by elderly Mrs. Van Schuyler (Bette Davis); her maid, Louise, is upset because Linnet won't give her a promised dowry; writer Salome Otterbourne (Angela Lansbury) is facing a libel suit brought by Linnet; Salome's daughter Rosalie Otterbourne (Olivia Hussey) wants to protect her mother; Andrew Pennington (George Kennedy) has been embezzling from the Ridgeway family; and former friend Jacqueline De Bellefort (Mia Farrow) is more than a little angry and upset that Linnet stole her fiancé, Simon Doyle (Simon MacCorkindale). Renowned Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot (Peter Ustinov) must unravel the mystery when Linnet (and some others) turn up dead.

The seventh film is The Stand. This 1994 TV mini-series is based on the Steven King novel. This is another chance to watch or save this 6 hour classic.

After a deadly plague kills most of the world's population, the remaining survivors split into two groups - one led by a benevolent elder and the other by a malevolent being - to face each other in a final battle between good and evil.

I normally post the best of what I've found, hopefully before they are found by others and removed.
The first 4 are from the same source which had the John Wick and Shrek movies.

I bought The Stand a few months ago. Started watching it again recently. Though it runs WAY too long and gets way too “Armageddon-y” for my taste, the first hour or so is absolutely chilling when compared to what we’ve been going through over the past year.

The First Independence Day was a much, much better movie than the Second one: Resurgence.
I also watched Godfather #3 once my Verizon account cleared back on the 16th to the 30 GB status. I found out the hard way that whether you download the movie or just watch it at their site, it takes the whole GB, the same amount to download it, as to watch in online. Any way I am downloading the first Independence Day in all its campy, pathetic, liberal ideology spewing glory. I watched Battle Los Angeles? with great combat scenes a while back also.

Thanks again. Oh, none of the three Godfather movies had English subtitles, although the third one was more understandable since nearly all of it was in English. Beggars can't be choosy. :D

You should avoid Star Trek 1, 3, and 5 from last week. They are missing minor foreign subtitles.
In the future, any movie that looks like it might have any foreign subtitles will not be posted.
I'm tired of the missing foreign subtitles issue.

I just finished downloading and watching the first Independence Day. It has a campy style that good summer movies should have. However, I can see where the treason we are dealing with now came from. It is riddled with Marxist, Leftist drivel that destroyed our youth. The Day after Tommorow is where Greta got corrupted and ALL the lies about global warming and climate change came from, some 20 years ago.

Walrus Whisperer

Hope in chains...
I just finished a movie that was stunning. The Host.
Stars Saoirse Ronan. Very quiet show, I've never seen anything so beautiful.....I've seen everything on the list this week!
Strangely, I watched Interstellar 2 days ago.....
