There are 6 movies this week plus several Housecarl classic picks.

However, all of the movie and download links for my movie choices are located in a separate,

----------->>> Link to the thread containing the actual movie links (click this) <<<-----------

This should help protect the source of the movies and keep them available longer.

Click the "movies" tag at top to see a list of previous movie threads.

The second movie is The Little Things. This 2021 crime drama stars Denzel Washington, Rami Malek, Jared Leto, and Chris Bauer.

Kern County Deputy Sheriff Joe "Deke" Deacon is sent to Los Angeles for what should have been a quick evidence-gathering assignment. Instead, he becomes embroiled in the search for a killer who is terrorizing the city. Leading the hunt, L.A. Sheriff Department Sergeant Jim Baxter, impressed with Deke's cop instincts, unofficially engages his help. But as they track the killer, Baxter is unaware that the investigation is dredging up echoes of Deke's past, uncovering disturbing secrets that could threaten more than his case.

The third movie is 55 Days at Peking. This 1963 adventure stars Charlton Heston, Ava Gardner, David Niven, Flora Robson, and John Ireland. This may be a repeat, but the quality is good and Dozdoats had some background info about it.

Ever hear the expression "China Marine?" This is where it came from. I found out not long ago that Dr. Gene Sledge was a post-WW2 China Marine and had written a book about his experiences. China Marine - University of Alabama Press

During the 1899 to 1901 Boxer Rebellion, Peking is an open city with the Chinese, and several European countries vie for control. The Boxers, who oppose Christianity and the western powers, still exercised complete sovereignty over their compounds and their citizens. The head of the U.S. garrison is Marine Major Matt Lewis (Charlton Heston), an experienced China hand who knows local conditions well. He meets exiled Russian Baroness Natalie Ivanoff (Ava Gardner), with whom he falls in love. The political situation is tension-filled with the Boxers having the tacit approval of Dowager Empress Tzu-Hsi (Dame Flora Robson). When the Boxers attack the foreigners, Major Lewis, working with the senior officer from the British Embassy, Sir Arthur Robertson (David Niven), tries to keep them at bay pending the arrival of a relief force.

The fifth movie is The Odessa File. This 1974 thriller stars John Voight, Maximillian Schell, Mary Tamm, and Derek Jacobi. This is based on the Frederick Forsyth book.

In 1963, after reading the diary of an elderly Jewish man who committed suicide, freelance journalist Peter Miller begins to investigate the alleged sighting of a former S.S. Captain who commanded a concentration camp during World War II. Miller eventually finds himself involved with the powerful organization of former S.S. members, called "O.D.E.S.S.A.", as well as with the Israeli secret service. Thanks for the movies. I've read the Odessa file, but have not seen the movie. I saw black widow last weekend and didn't care much for it personally. 55 days looks like one to watch now.

Thank you 1911! I have had a lot on my plate for awhile now with animals, gardening and cleaning up, painting, fixing things, etc. I have also been asked to be a vendor to a nice size crafting event free of charge and they'll provide a tent so this gives me an opportunity to get rid of more stuff. Problem is I have to fill a few holes and the event is coming up soon so.. add crafting to that list above. I sleep good believe it or not. Anyway all that just to say I so appreciate the movies you add every friday. Many I haven't seen and some are real bloopers...lol but.. I can put them on and get work accomplished and I can always watch them again later thanks to you. Awesome! Thanks much again as usual! :rs:

Love in High Gear ~ 1932 Pre-Code Comedy, Harrison Ford's final film
RT 1:01:09
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNiupfgXtMg

Her Heart Wasn't the Only Thing He Stole! An early pre-code talkie, this romantic comedy (with an emphasis on comedy) tells the tale of a girl about to marry her jealous fiance when her old boyfriend turns up (and turns out to be a jewel thief.)

Hilarity ensues.

Trivia: This was Harrison Ford's first and only talkie outing and his final film. A silent screen leading man in films from 1915-1932, he left films in 1932 due to the arrival of sound. He was hit by a car on September 13, 1951, never fully recovered from his injuries and died on December 2, 1957.
