CORONA Taste and Smell coming back

Lost my taste and smell 3 years ago to covid. We have a customer that comes into the shop that helped develop the monicronical antibodies treatment. The wife was telling him how I had lost my smell and taste. He recommended taking d-3/k-2 and nattokinase at at least twice what the bottle says to take. After one week I can smell and taste some strong things like onions, smoke, gin, ether, and diff oil. He says covid is a swelling of the brain stem and the swelling needs to be treated. I had short term relief from steroid shots but they only last a week or less. I will continue to take these along with msm and zinc until back to normal.

Tell me more …, it’s been so long now. It’s like some (most) smells and tastes are like locks
but I don’t have the keys anymore. I can smell something but it doesn’t really remind me of
anything I remember. Some tastes and odors are crossed up, too.
Many of the strong odors all smell the same.

He pretty much laid out his protocol...

The bottle of d3 with k2 is 1000iu I take 8 a day the nattokinase is 2000 fu i take 2 a day. I also have been taking for a long time c, multi, zinc, i can't take nsaids or gluten or alcohol or carbs without my inhaler close by so have been trying to eliminate irritants to get the inflammations down. The natto seems to be the key that i was missing. Your body will eliminate any excess of the above from what the doc said.

Allergies way worse, aspirin sent me to the med center after 60 years of taking it, gout attacks for the first time, no longer can take ibuprofen or any other nsaid's. I rely on my inhaler way more than before, pre covid I might use it 2-3 times a year now it's 4-5 times a week and some times a day. I am now looking forward to my pipe and a single malt when I get to AZ.

I know. I was simply hoping he might remember anything else that might help those of us in need.
I can still smell bananas but that’s about it.

There have been multiple iterations and variations of the Protocol published here on TB for those that are suffering from what is being called 'Long Covid'. People post it, others acknowledge it, and link it, hit the 'like' button, etc. etc.

If it's been going on for years, have you tried any of them?

I've seen more people in the last year being dx'd with massive numbers of 'Allergies' than ever before in my many decades. Only one ever before had such severe allergies in my network of friends, family and acquaintances, and now there are multiples.

As in the DX sheet from the Allergist having nearly every freakin' allergen ticked off. Dozens and dozens... in a young person, in a 30+ year old, in a 50+ year old, etc.

I really, really wonder what the hell is going on with that.

Happenstance, I'm sure.

Or maybe, Globull Warming. Yeah, that's the ticket. That's what it is...

The doc says they are still not sure what all they spliced together to make covid so they don't know what they are working with. The long term effects will not be good. He also said to stay away from most vaccines but went into no detail. Unfortunately I will not see him again until May at the earliest, so no new info till then.

Didnt know that, grief.

I take d3 everyday at 10k iu per. I also take nattokinase from time to time, because I have a previous circulation issue that rears it's ugly head.
(To stop severe LC, I took 75k-100kiu of D3 + K2(100 mcg per 10k iu of D3) each day for over a month.)

From my observations, Covid accelerates the problems you already have, that normally your immune system could handle.

I use to hardly ever get sick before covid.
I now get inflammation from eating certain foods because I think it has to do with cortisol levels.(messes with circulation)

From my understanding, the original covid is made up of 3 things: the SARS virus, Venom, and Aids.

A nasty bioweapon for sure.

Nattokinaise is POWERFUL beware of taking too much!
You can EASILY give yourself INTERNAL BLEEDING
or a bleeding stroke if you take too much.
I wouldnt take over 2 natto a day.( for only a couple of days and that a LOT, enough to make you break out in black and blue, under the skin bleeding! That's why I only take ONE a dayfor a couple of days.
Streptokinaise is what they give you when you are in the ER and have a clot that needs dissolving. But, they are REAL careful with it.

Thanks for sharing that. I already suspect my blood is too thin so I better leave it alone.

This is what I was coming here to say. Nattokinase can be used to dissolve blood clots, and if you’re already on any type of blood thinners or have a clotting disorder, you need to be *very* careful taking this.

The vitamin regimin success indicates that dietary issues are also at fault. Our diets are utterly lacking in nutrients compared to generations past. One of the dirty little secrets the FDA and Department of agriculture hide. I am not saying your diet is bad. Just that they have engineered foods now to be so devoid of nurishment that they made it part of the plan that is called COVID.

I have been reading a lot of research reports lately, and I think Fermented food like sauerkraut& kimchee & other fermented food play a much more important part of keeping us healthy than anyone thought. I rarely eat kraut but i think im gonna start having it at least once a month with sausages or hot dogs.
Did you know nattokinaise is from fermented soy beans?
I just read this now, and I am shocked by what research is finding are the real health benefits of fermented foods:

Supposedly non-infectious segments of the HIV and Prion (Mad Cow) were used in the construction. The spike and the lipid nanoparticles (which cross the blood-brain barrier) are the poisons.

And all the protein folding that was used to research covid I suspect were actually used to develop it further. And I suspect it was different due to the release manner it was spread along with natural mutations...

I just read this morning that rubbing castor oil on the inside of your nostrils is supposed to help with loss of smell and taste.

Baby, do I have some ideas for you!! I *love* kimchi and kraut. My brother was stationed in Korea and his girlfriend taught me how to make old school kimchi (bless her soul, she was one of my favorite girlfriends!).

Anytime I have a microwave fried rice or ramen (if you can find it, the nissin spicy garlic cup noodle is AMAZING!) I always add in a few spoonfuls of kimchi after heating. And a few tablespoons of, preferably Sambal Oelek, but since that’s in short supply, I use sriracha. Basically any kind of stir fry type thing is complimented with kimchi. Even just plain rice, add your kimchi. SO GOOD!!

I have a gutter palate, and LOVE hot dogs. My favorite way to eat them is with kraut, grilled onions, and spicy mustard. My husband thinks it’s disgusting (the SWINE) but has been known to buy me my own container of kraut for camping trips when he knows hot dogs are on the menu.

My favorite way to have pork chops is to butterfly the chop (well, I create more of a pocket), salt and pepper generously inside and out, stuff with kraut, more pepper (not salt) and bake with zucchini, squash, mushrooms, and red onions.

Anything pickled counts, though. Regular pickles, pickled okra, pickled green beans, carrots, Oh Snap! has a great assortment.

Also, I take it you’ve never eaten Japanese Natto? It’s almost considered a kids food, like chicken nuggets in the states. Not bad, super sweet and sticky, not my favorite, but you can get it in microwave containers.

Fwiw, I take more than thaton a daily basis unless I am out in summer sun all day. I haven't gotten more than a mild sniffle since doing that.

Confirm your D3 levels with your annual lab work. That will tell you if you are taking too much. OR TOO LITTLE.

Remember, it's the government that sets the RDA amounts. Soooooo, how much trust do you have in those RDA numbers? Maybe consider taking them daily, even after your taste/smell is back.

Swelling of the sinuses is what I'm dealing with.

Not runny nose, just pressure.
inflammation is what is killing america (foodwise) ...... you are not the typical american......good luck bro

I've tried the nauvage thing..... open up and rinse the sinuses..... I did...... its like I opened up the gates of hell..... I had the absolute worst breath of my life.....for a couple of weeks..... baaaaad breath....even nasal breath.... not cool.

there are always unintended consequences.....

this too shall pass

Stinging Nettle can help with the pressure stress in the head. Drink lots of water though, Nettle is a natural diuretic.

A lot of the time sinus pressure can be anatomical and should be checked by an ENT. The sinus may need to be widened, the septum can fall apart and collapse. Ultimately there is a build up of inflammation that needs to be released. Keeping a journal of the pressure and what your eating, drinking, where the pressure is located or what kind of environment your in can help find patterns. Sometimes blood pressure is the cause. Stress can be a factor too.
