I stumbled onto this youtube channel that is all about Karens in public.

The narrator guy actually gets the stories from a sub-reddit, r/IDontWorkHereLady.

It's amazing how many obnoxious people there are out there.

Once you start watching them, it's like a wreck you can't turn away from.

I'm surprised that more people don't get the $#it knocked out of them.

all the videos are about 10 minutes, there are dozens of them....

Been watching a lot of these recently. My favorites are I don't work here lady, malicious compliance, and tales from retail.
Be careful with nuclear revenge. Some are almost traumatic to hear.

Carrying the mantle of doubt
The experiences described in the video underscore just how many stupid people there are. People who are, as I've said in many threads, incapable of deductive reasoning. I think there's far more of them than most of us are aware and I'll wager more than 98% of them vote democrat. Frightening, really.

I dunno. I enjoy the "Karen" videos, but don't recall ever being confronted by one of these creatures. Maybe it's because I've never dressed like I work in retail or maybe I just look like someone you probably don't want to eff with. These videos illustrate nothing so much as the increased entitlement mentality in this country and the Increasing lack of basic manners.

It's been said that manners are the social lubricant of society and I couldn't agree more. A little bit of manners and good behavior goes a very long way in interacting with people.

SackLunch

Dirt roads take me home
When I used to have to shop, I was sometimes mistaken for a store employee, perhaps because I avoided shopping carts. Most people were polite when they realized their mistake.

Glad I rarely have to shop in the new COVID-ruled retail, Karen-soaked environments. Scary!

Hooray for pick up orders!

money? whats that?
You know, people newly discovering this place must think we’re nuts.

Ya know, all of my life people have considered me "different" to be polite. For years I considered it to be an insult, until the day I realized they were right. Think about it. The vast majority of people in this country never wear the uniform, I did. That makes me different. The vast majority of those who serve do not serve in the combat arms. On average it take 10 people to keep one grunt in the field. I am a grunt. The vast majority of people in this country never take on the challenge of being self employed. I did. Of those who do take on that challenge, most go out of business in the first year. I lasted over 25 years and was only put out of business when Florida privatized the prisons and the people I was competing against made a maximum of $.55 an hour. It took 40 inmates working at a bench in the Raiford prison to do me in.

So yeah, I admit it. I'm different and I glory in it.
