I was looking around youtube this morning. I ran into a couple of interesting older classics from the 80's and hadn't done a sunday afternoon movie event for awhile. These are all from youtube and can be downloaded with a youtube downloader program if you want to save one. There is no need to hide these, everything is in this one thread. Trailers for each movie are in post #6.

Grab your popcorn and enjoy a break.

Some will ask, this is the program I use to save youtube videos: Youtube Downloader HD - Free Youtube Video Downloader

First up is DEFCON-4. This 1985 survival film is from Canada. It's one of their better 80's post-nuke efforts and the quality on this video is surprisingly good. That means youtube will be removing it soon.

Two men and a woman circle the globe in a spacecraft armed with a nuclear device. The third world war breaks out, and a few months later the spacecraft crashes in the northwest US. They survive the crash but now have to deal with a crazed, post-nuke world while attempting to escape to South America and safety.

The second film is WORLD GONE WILD. This 1987 disaster film stars Bruce Dern, Michael Pare', Catherine Mary Stuart, and Adam Ant. This has been posted before on TB. This video is not high quality, but it's OK and a fun 80's movie.

In the nuclear ravaged wasteland of Earth 2087, water is as precious as life itself. The isolated Lost Wells outpost survived the holocaust and the inhabitants guard the source of their existence. Now an evil cult of renegades want control of their valuable water supply. And the villagers are no match for such brute military force. Only one man can help the stricken community - a mercenary living in a distant cannibal city. But even he, and his strange henchmen, may not be able to survive in the world gone wild.

The third film is 5 SHELLS. This 2012 post collapse film is a movie that I've searched for to post. It's a low-budget indie film that I first discovered in a video store several years ago. It's slower, but better than you might expect especially if you like post-whatever films. The quality is good on this and youtube wants to rent it. Expect this to be removed soon.

- After a financial apocalypse, a young girl must protect her older sister as they wander a desert searching for a new home.

Set in a post apocalyptic world, the parents of sisters Matti and Joslyn are murdered by intruders in their home. Younger sister Matti finds 5 shotgun shells next to the body of her father. With the shotgun that had been hidden in the attic, Matti and her sister set out to search for their Grandma's house. Along the way, they find challenging situations. Matti is hopeful that in finding Grandma's house, the world there will be a better place. Indeed she has dreams of walking the "Yellow Brick Road", hoping to find Grandma.

The fourth film is AFTERMATH. This 2014 post-nuclear drama stars C. J. Thompson, Monica Keena, and Edward Furlong. This has been posted in the past on TB, but it's worthy of a repost. Previous discussion about it is here.

- After a devastating nuclear war, a group of people find themselves crammed together in a house in rural Texas, struggling to cope with radiation poisoning, grief and the locals.

money? whats that?
I saw Def-Con 4 years ago. Not a bad film. Acting leaves a little to be desired, but the plot is quite interesting.
