Subliminal Message? NBC

Witness

Deceased
It's Tuesday October 28, 2008 about 7:45 am, the TV was on NBC news.

Meridith (last name?) was sitting with Matt Lauer. Just before going to a commercial, you see and hear:

"Well, It's only a week until the election and we will look at the highlights and the low lights of the campaign" (then to a commercial)

As the newswoman (Meridith) made that statement images of Barack Obama standing on a podium with the sun shining behind his head (photographed from a low angle) was shown. At the end of her sentence "and the low lights" a picture of McCain is shown.

You tell me, was that subliminal?????

Subliminal messaging is something we need to be on guard for. Not by any means beneath Obama and the media.

I would like McCain to win if, for no other reason, than to watch the left-wing Socialist idiots on MSNBC finally lose it. :screw:
... and Sarah Palin, who they now hate more than Bush, could "close down" all interviews with the lefties for the next four years.

Hell, that wasn't even subtle, let alone subliminal!

The media has become pathetic.

There is a commercial that is running right now in the panhandle of Florida that reminds me of this. It is supposed to be about saving electricity and promoting the power company. A soulful voice is singing "A little change will do us good". Now any other time I would not pay attention to this, but the timing of this commercial does make me wonder.

I noticed a subliminal effort this morning on the History Channel. DH was watching a program on Nostradamus and they started to discuss how some experts consider him a "charlatan" and out of no where was a quick image of President Bush when that word was narrated.

Tread carefully these days.

It's possible to avoid this---I don't watch TV (except for the occasional old movie on TCM, and an occasional hit of Anthony Bourdain)---I get my news from a range of sources, but TV "news" is inadequate and slanted at best, and it's rarely at its best.

If Obama is elected America will get what they want and won't be able to get out of.....a country that will have a dictatorship with a congress, senate and president that will do everything in its power to bring its socialist form of gov't to the people.
At first people will be receptive because the news will start to report that money will be taken from the rich and given to the poor, but when some of these liberal thinking individuals start becoming conservative in a few years they will start to rebel and wonder what they did to give their country over. They will continue to blame the republicans who "put them into this mess" but all the while thier paychecks have become less and less and they will work harder and longer to get the same amount of money that a person collecting gov't check is getting because they are in a tight spot.
At this point they will become pissed but they won't be able to do anything about it because they will be in forced labor and their children will be subjected to joining the military (we wont have a voluntary army any more) but it will be stated that this is community service.
The America that we see on November 3rd won't be the same America we have on November 5th.

I gave up on GE/NBC and most especially MSNBC as anything remotely resembling an objective news source back in Y2K when, in after the Bush/Gore election, but before Jan. 2001, when Lester Holt and Ashleigh Banfield began talking about how many Florida votes "we" needed to "put us over the top," referring to how many votes Gore needed to overtake Bush in Florida. This year, they have thrown any and all remaining pretense of objectivity out the window and are little more than a media arm of the Obama campaign.

The end times are here.
Not subliminal, but brainwashing nonetheless.

I watched CBS news with Katie Couric last night and it looked to me like a 1/2 hour Obongo ad.

Amerikans will be the losers in this election.

What's all this Democratic whining about the Fairness Act being revived?
They wouldn' recognize fairness if it bit them on their arse. Their definition of fairness is that everyone agrees with their view.

Remember, it all depends on their definition of 'IS'.

Joy Behr (the bore from The View) was on Larry King the other night and did everything except perform public sex with Obama in her outright total worship of him.

I hate Larry King as he is a major liberal leftist, but the two of them together caused me to eat a whole roll of Tums within minutes.

At the rate that he is deminishing, if we wait a few more minutes there won't be any Larry King left to have to subject ourselves to, and that voice is so annoying..

My five year old watches cartoon network at least 3-4 times a week. Every commercial break includes an Obama ad. These ads have convinced my son that he'll "vote" for "iraq obama". (He pronounces his name funny, and I haven't corrected him, lol)

Anyway, I've been wondering how much of DS's fascination with Obama is from subliminal messages. He just loves 'iraq obama", and talks about him pretty much daily. I've been pretty much just letting it go, but even at five y/o I think he needs to understand voting a little better. I told him that we choose candidates based on their abilities and beliefs, not on their personality and likeability.

Amaryllis---If my child was responding to the brainwashing in that fashion, i wouldn't let it continue.
