INSANITY Students walked out of Nebo School District in Utah to protest the school for allowing "furries" to t*rrorize other students.

What in the name of Zeus’s butthole are furries?

They start out as being people who like to get together wearing costumes and pretending they're animals. That's innocent enough, if a little weird--let every Trekkie and cosplayer throw the first stone--but it is merely the event horizon of the black hole that is furry culture. It goes on from there. Boy, does it EVER.

Some night, if you're feeling brave, pour yourself a knock of whiskey, gather your courage, and look up the word "yiff." You WILL WISH YOU HADN'T. You CANNOT UNREAD THE DEFINITION OF THIS TERM. But you will understand exactly what a furry can be.

We can’t leave out the bronies. According to dictionary.com a brony is a male fan of the television series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and member of the brony fandom.

This is the picture that accompanies the definition.

When MY Furries (fur babies...dogs) act up we put them in the crate for some reflection of their actions. Time out is better than other punishments.

I recently had to put both in the crate at the same time. The older dog, Lucky wasn't happy about being cooped up with Wolfgang (a 90 pound puppy) like that.

They learn quick.

It's to fool the AI censor and not get flagged. Probably also to avoid triggering snowflakes! I've seen it used in "rape", "sex", and "kill"... also, IIRC, "bomb"..
Shrug... the whole world is nuts!

Summerthyme

It's especially nuts on YouTube. Where they're not outright bleeping these words--turning news reports into morse code--they're inventing new terms. "Rape" is now "Struggle snuggle." "Sex" is "bedroom fun." "Suicide" is "self-deletion." It goes ON like this.

Well, the bronies are a bit different. Some of them just enjoy the show. Others are out chasing the female brony equivalent, the "pegasister." Don't make the mistake of thinking every brony is a furry.

HUMANS who "identify" as ANIMALS.

Cats, dogs---even mice, pigs--I've heard all kinds.

And YES the SCHOOLS are ACCOMODATING this.

My Boss's daughter--in a school in the upscale county of Forsyth in GA--told of a classmate who ID'd as a cat, and for whom they provided a LITTER BOX in the restroom.

While I agree that there is a certain idiocy and mental illness out there, let's remember that teenagers very often do outrageous things because, well, teenagers. Not than any of us ever did crazy or stupid things at that age.
Did your parents and school "tolerate" your "outrageous" / "crazy" / "stupid" things?

Or were these punished?

THAT is the difference, today.

Wow! My youtube watching is budget bathroom remodels for the DIYer and similar topics. I wasn't aware of this darker side.

True, but most of the dreck isn't good for anyone.
There are VERY few children's shows that are safe for children to watch, anymore--if ANY.

My same son that liked "My Little Pony" (because, he said, they were always so calm and nice to one another on the show--he liked Mr. Rodgers for the same reason) gave up (as a child) watching "Arthur" as soon as they made one of the main characters gay and began pushing the gay agenda.

I hear Sesame Street is pushing TRANS messages to kids now.

They are ALL corrupt.

That's a pretty common thread. Especially the earlier seasons. It's oddly calm. I hear the later stuff adds more action, but the first season or so could be an effective sleep aid.

Thank you.

Too many assume that every male that liked the show as a child is gay.
I don’t think that every male who likes the show as a child is gay. i apologize if that is what you took from my comment. I was specifically referring to the type of adult behavior detailed in the below excerpt from the link I provided…

As bronies gained attention and the word became more widespread, so did their fandom. While the technical meaning of brony has remained the same, the larger connotation of brony fandom definitely evolved. Cartoon erotica exists in many fandoms, but by 2014 it became a defining feature of bronies, to the point where it is unavoidable when googling the names of characters on the show. This sexual component contributed to the outsider perception that bronies fetishize the characters as part of their fandom, though of course, this is only true of a segment of bronies.

There is a sexual element that Is part of the brony community. It’s not every brony but it is a big part of the fandom.

I thought the fascination with furry pet costumes in public ( and related "activities") was dead and buried.

Sigh . . . .
Guess I need to get out more and, I should probably be packing some tear gas or such.

If I'm responsible for the control a feral animal, then I can be held responsible for that animal biting someone.

And usually, the animal needs to be put down.

Parents (owners of said animals).. and school district are responsible for keeping children safe from animal bites..

I have no problem with putting feral animals down.

Neither here nor there.
I've found that totally ignoring them can work, too.

I've been fortunate. I only see that crap around the campus in Ames, and I suspect a number
of those students won't put up with it for long, either. Pepper spray is legal here. I'd give any really
obnoxious furry, that was in my face, a quick spray and keep walking away.

there's only one or two here from what I understand and they tend towards weaker people, not the football types. There was one here when I was an undergrad who decided to mess with someone on a mountain bike, ended up in the spokes of the wheels some how and it was left in a wheelchair for months. Never heard about it again after that incident.

Smack them with a rolled up newspaper or a CATTLE PROD!! "F"em!!
I used a cattle prod, 17k volts, while on standby for a trade show. I was trying to figure out why our in house computer systems would some times just reset, especially when rolled across a rug (yeah, I'm not talking IBM or Atari here). I had an idea that it was static related, so I hooked up a logic analyzer all over a motherboard and then used the cattle prod to 'make static' shocks around the little room I was holed up in      .

It worked. From the reset button on the front top (think of a large desktop pc BOX standing on it's side and with wheels) a long 18 inch or so wire went down to the circuit board. That was acting like an antenna and picking up static shock.
