POL Strap in kids; tomorrow (now today, 11/3) everything changes

Don’t let the Piss Ants get you down…
Just some rambling (not the car) thoughts:

Son calls this morning: Dad the poll is covered up with people, (small precinct) never seen it like this. 40-50 people here. There's only about 140 registered voters there. (or was for years). O and BTW Whitetails are dying to get in my yard. Yeah someone ran over a big doe last night and it was laying in the yard, this AM.

Ok so will wait till around 9-10.

Biden said "He will heal this country." IMHO just like Lincoln did, by force of arms.

He can try.

Using a URL requires a DNS (Domain Name Server) to "resolve" the URL into the IP address. URL's (i.e."timebomb2000.com") are "nicknames" for a website. In reality ALL Internet navigation is by IP address. You and I just don't see it because the DNS handles the translation under the sheets.

However, DNS servers can go down too. If one does that services your home, then you can't get to a URL-based web address until it's repaired. However, if you have the IP address, you can bypass the broken DNS entirely. That's why it's important to have the IP addresses of your favorite websites.

The "hosts" file (referenced in a post up-thread) allows your PC to do the cross-referencing at the local level. If you put the URL and associated IP address into the "hosts" file, your web browser no longer has to do a lookup from a remote DNS.

Just a quick note. Tomorrow, no matter who wins the election, everything changes. HOW things change will depend on the winner. But change they will, and this country will never be the same.

As Scotty said in Star Trek, The Voyage Home, “Hang on lass, it gets bumpy from here.”

Lock & load. Stay frosty. Keep your head on a swivel. Be ready to defend hearth and home.
Do you know how hard it is to shovel a ton of rock when you have a gun strapped to your hip? I now understand all those westerns where the gun was "just" out of reach.

Good luck agmfan3, I'll be in a tree this afternoon. Don't know if the deer will be moving, it's supposed to be 73° and just past full moon, but it should be a glorious afternoon to sit in the woods and at least I won't be freezing. Plus the RUT IS ON here in Iowa.
Thank you, past 3 mornings I've seen deer each time, out of my kill zone with a bow I'm not going to shoot over 35 yards, this morning a spike came out with his nose on the ground and was sniffing like crazy, all the way across the field. I think the rut is coming here, not fully involved just yet. How I love going out there and listening and looking, yesterday I watched a hawk enjoy a snack, this morning he was up in a tree watching. Good luck and hope you get one.

Yeah, it's a post Vietnam tune, but I think it still applies to these days.....

Red white and blue, gaze in your looking glass
You're not a child anymore
Red, white, and blue, the future is all but past
So lift up your heart, make a new start
And lead us away from here

Post 20.... I thought putting a stock on a pistol was a $200 tax thing.

Regs get confusing!!

Not in Florida. Besides the guy I mentioned, ANOTHER co-worker bought one. Neither mentioned any extra taxes. It isn't permanent, the pistol slides and locks into place. There is a release button to remove the pistol.

and a dealer to buy from. Fairly cheap price and you don't need to pay transfer fees.

Technically, it is a pistol brace. I have one in the store, not impressed with it. I would rather have an AR rifle. But if that is all he can get, it is still only good at 25 yards or so and it is still a pistol up against a rifle.

Both guys keep them in their trucks.
