Hopefully better than Discovery turned-out. Discovery started-out good, but turned into nothing but a bunch of black, gay and trans lame-brains talking about their feelings.
Spoiler***
I watched the train wreck until the end. They marched out Stacy Abrams as president of Earth. That's how freaking woke it was. Terrible. Even if the new series is good they lost a ton of viewers with the Discovery abortion. We can't have anything good anymore.

As far as production values Discovery is an amazing achievement. Star Trek has always pushed social boundaries. I'm on season 2 episode 2.

I grew up watching Kirk mackin' on the ladies, it's normal behavior. This queer bullshit with the doctor and the engineer is going to lead kids astray.

I've been watching Discovery. Just doesn't feel like star trek. I don't know the definition of the method but each season has one theme with all episodes connected. Woke as ****. Excellent acting and movie quality production.

We liked it. I thought it was better than Piccard too. But then I'm not one to get excited over so called woke stuff. Something has to be really bad for me not to watch it.

We watched it. It was ok, so we'll continue watching to see how "woke" it gets. We really liked, "Picard", except for the last episode where Raffi and #Seven kissed. Picard was a bit slow, but was one of the better shows on tv to watch.

The problem with me is Discovery ISN’T Star Trek Original or TNG.
Kurtsman and fag writers ruined it!
So Screw them, I will not watch that one.
It doesn’t exist in my head canon or DVD collection and never will.

I like it so far. More like the original series.

Politically, Star Trek was always globalist, but the original series and the new one in the OP are not as "dark". Picard (the series that just ended) also turns-out pretty good.

Star Trek II (Wrath of Khan) started things getting darker: more violence and compromised personalities. Glad to see a more light-hearted series now. I like science-fiction for the bright future it can offer. Dystopian? Not so much...

Just finished Picard season 1 and really liked it as a life long Trek lover. Haven’t watched any Discovery yet.

I watched the season opener of "strange new worlds"

Woke As Fuq

Basically, Trumpers caused WWIII

I want to like Star Trek, but basically its a one world order (or galaxys rather) built right in the main story line, a federation of worlds, so it's kinda like the empire in star wars, only fans are rooting for the wrong team.

As a diehard deplorable, I'm rooting for the klingons and romulans

FYI:

All Star Trek, new, old, inbetween is on Paramount + a streaming service. Not on TV.

Paramount uploads the shows on Wednesday. Don't know when, cuz like we watch it on Thursday along with HALO, Picard which just ended and "New Worlds" just started. Including a cartoon version. Currently doing Voyager, can't wait for the Borg encounter. And species 6874 or whatever it is where you only thought the Borg was bad. They even have the show where Scott Bakula is the capt.

Star Trek has always been woke. What, you don't think interalien sex, and marriage was actually not a thing? I want to ask some people today what planet they are from. One world economy and money system. One planetarium world governance, and military?

The only question is how much you can take, of the in your face wokism.

Just saying.

But feelings are important!

I remember a clip on CNN(? maybe NBC) of a reporter asking a Marine if he felt anything when he saw his target fall down dead.

"Yes Ma'am; recoil."

Sorry -- off topic.

The deal breaker for me in the "official trailer" was when the Vulcan said," No one can know the future; one can only follow one's instincts."

They have no clue of what a Vulcan even is!

Paramount is butchering the story lines of everything, Halo and Star trek and woke 1883 (indians good, white people bad)
