South Korea has reportedly obtained intelligence of North Korea preparing terrorist attacks against South Korean diplomatic officials and civilians in several countries.

North Korea has reportedly deployed agents to increase surveillance operations against South Korean embassies and to start specific activities. South Korea believes that the agents are looking for South Korean citizens so they can be specifically targeted.

In response, South Korea has raised the terror alert level at five embassies.
