( Don't knock my "virtual vacation", it beats "candyland", pretend "kingdoms" and virtual wars, and everything else I see pandering to capture the attention of the bored American public stuck at home. I have LEARNED so much by sticking with reality and people who know stuff I don't and who are willing to share their knowledge.
Found this about an hour ago, if you ever catch a snakehead fish (INVASIVE IN USA) do not throw it back....EAT IT or give it to someone who likes fish. They were brought here by the Chinese and other Asians because they are EXCELLENT EATING, and so hardy and vicious you will ALWAYS have fish to eat if they get established. ( You just won't have much of any other kind of fish left after a while, because they eat everything from baby ducks, frogs, mice, rats, small birds, crayfish, and even small snapping turtles and every other young critter that they can fit into their mouth.
Video is 19 minutes: SNAKEHEAD CATCH, CLEAN, COOK

Here is a guy calling himself: REALLY BIG MONKEY (Dave Pearson) married, father, who will show you how to use a knife and machete to quickly make the basics of furniture and anything else (whittle, carve, woodwork from available trees) whatever you need in a camp (bed, table, stool, chair, framework for a shelter, just more things than I can name. I have learned so much I intend to watch all his videos because he is so honest and humble,

He even shows when his ideas FAIL and like when his heated shelter caught on fire, he analyzes it and shows why it failed. (he ACCIDENTALLY created a rocket stove!) anyway he is humble and never presents himself as an expert even though he knows so much. He is also a machinist and welder and makes a lot of his equipment and shows us how he made it. He even SEWS himself blankets/tarps out of Goretex or other waterproof, breathable fabrics, and layers in reflective, shiny barrier stuff that is used for rafters in homes. His "blankets"waterproof, reflective, are not sold but if you bought one like it, it would be in the hundreds of bucks, but you too can make your own.

He, in other videos made (hanging) camping fire and cooking and baking equipment from common pans, wire, and light chains or light steel cable to use in swampy wet lands. e always tries to make things that serve more than one use or purpose. He, In another video he shows innumerable ways to erect shelters from plain or (reflective) tarps to even heat such an open shelter, in the dead of winter, to over 80 degrees inside, in spite of it not even being totally enclosed like a tent is. You would enjoy and learn from all his videos: He has an adorable southern accent.. This video is 23 min, 7 seconds)

Here is "OUTDOOR BOYS" Luke, with three LITTLE boys a dedicated dad showing how to have fun with even your little kids and teach them what you know rather than just leaving them home while you go do your thing. He has a wonderful sense of humor that I wish I had had raising my kids!
Here he is dealing with the Quarranting as only Luke can: (29.5 minutes)

If you want to make your own reflective tarps and blankets you probably need to GO IN "halvsies"WITH SOMEONE ELSE WHO ALSO WANTS TO MAKE ONE, TO SHARE THE steep COST OF THE REFLECTIVE MATERIAL. You don't need all of this unless you are going to make tarps, blankets and sleeping bags too that incorporate reflective components,
PERFORATED RADIENT BARRIER: ($89)500-sf-Roll (4'ft x 125 ft) Perforated Radiant Barrier - Ecofoil Reflective Attic Insulation
SOLID RADIENT BARRIER: ($89)

3"x 180' Metalized Tape (to unite two sheets to make something more than 4 foot wide) (https://www.ecofoil.com/Foil-Tape-Metalized-Foil-Insulation-Tape-3 INCHES wide-X-180 FEET long roll ($17)
(perforated) Radiant heat accounts for the majority of unwanted heat gain and/or loss in your home. Ecofoil Radiant Barrier is the top double sided, heavy duty, metalized, tear-proof radiant barrier available today. Up to 96% of heat transfer is radiant. Fiberglass and cellulose insulation will slow down that radiant heat, but only a radiant barrier such as EcoFoil reflective insulation stops 96% of radiant heat. Don't take chances with your home or project - choose metalized radiant barrier for durability and savings. EcoFoil Perforated Radiant Barrier is ideal for use in an attic. Tiny holes are evenly spaced across the surface of the reflective foil allowing for air to pass, eliminating the buildup of condensation from the extreme temperature differences on each side. Perforated Radiant Barrier can be installed under the rafters or over the floor of the attic.

NON PERFORATED Radiant barrier is the only product on the market that actually blocks radiant heat transfer. Sometimes called reflective foil insulation, EcoFoil is manufactured using pure aluminum that is chemically bonded to a tear-proof scrim poly substrate, making it easy to work with and virtually indestructible. Radiant barrier foil insulation has two properties that give it supreme performance against the transfer of radiant heat. The first property is reflectivity. Reflectivity means both sides of radiant barrier consist of metalized aluminum which reflects or blocks 96% of radiant heat from transferring through the barrier. The second property is emissivity. The emissivity of a material refers to how much heat is absorbed and radiated from its surface. The natural elements of metalized aluminum foil insulation result in a very low emittance of heat energy.
(ED-NOTE: The non perforated sheeting will NOT LET MOISTURE or water vapor to pass through it, but is more water proof.)

THIS is a 24 min video on step by step how to make "no hole blanket pins" which avert damaging wool or nylon/polyester, fleece blankets,or primaloft blankets if you want to wear them near a fire or for other reasons to add warmth over a jacket. I was surprised how great they look when on a blanket and how easy it is to make but you have to pay attention when you step by step bend the wire. Finish it off with either electrical tape or welding.
It ends up looking like a humongous double paper clip. He used a 1/8" diameter welding rod but other stiff wire is usable.

We use a little different method for scalloping here - water is clear and about 85° to 92°. Last year was a total bust and this year the season is going to be shorter. Between the time, the boat, the truck to tow the boat, the gas for both you can buy scallops a LOT cheaper but scalloping is a good excuse to spend the day in the Gulf. It's kinda like an Easter egg hunt for adults
