Prep Genrl Solar generator

I would like to buy a solar generator but don’t know which one to buy. I’d like to get enough power to run a fridge( not on constantly). Also I live in the north. Was thinking about three thousand? Completely out of my depth on this. Saw one that can also be charged by plugging in wall socket. Anything will increase my knowledge and appreciated.

I already have the Powersource 1800. I am not happy with it. Shortly after the 2 year warranty expired, one of the batteries actually offgassed and ruined a lot of components. I wouldn't buy from Solutions From Science

If you do a search on this site you will find many times this topic has been discussed.

Refrigerators take a fair amount of power. I bought 3000 watts of solar panels and 8 large batteries to run my medium sized fridge and a compact freezer. Price was over 6k

For $3k you would be much better served to put together a real system.

Hiwall nailed it, there are many, many threads here on it.

Loupgarou is a good reference.

Do a serious amount of research before buying or you will be disappointed.

Same thing happened to me. That brand is junk.

There is a utuber called prepper princess that has done several videos on solar generators, she has several because they get sent to her to review on utube. She is the one who recommended the smaller Jackery that I bought. I'm satisfied with it although it won't carry much of a load. We have not installed the solar panel yet, thus far I'ved charged it with the wall socket. When she lived in CA she was much more of a prepper than she has become since she moved to Arazonia, I've stopped watching her, but I will go back and watch certain videos of things I like.

ETA: she does have one that will run her fridg, although its not a large one.

God is good all the time
