Shots have been fired during a high school football game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, injuring at least four people and causing panic among players and spectators, local officials and witnesses say.

The incident happened just after 10 p.m. on Friday when gunshots were heard in the stands during the final minutes of a football game between Vigor and Williamson high schools.

According to initial reports, at least four people have been shot, including one person who is suffering from life-threatening injuries. Footage from the scene showed people running away and seeking cover in the aftermath of the shooting.

A large number of emergency services have been called to the scene while officers work to secure the scene. There is no word on the status or identity of the shooter.

Ladd-Peebles Stadium was also the scene of a mass shooting in August 2019, when 9 people were shot at the end of a football game between two high schools. A 17-year-old boy later turned himself in and was charged with attempted murder.

Just wondering...is anybody keeping count of all these 'school shootings' that have been happening lately? Do recall, back during o'bummer's term, there were a large number of such shootings, too. And it was decided by 'we, the people' that it was because they were setting the stage for taking our gun rights away from us. So...are they 'setting the stage'? And any idea as to what it might be for?

Rivalry game between two urban Mobile schools. This happens...regularly...in every southern state.

The shooting is getting worse by the day here. Not just in the hood any more. Daytime shooting in really upscale nieghborhoods. I don't see any news getting out about what's really happening here.

Yeah. IIRC, it has to be 5 or more victims for it to be called a 'mass shooting'. So, if it's just 4 or less, it's not 'news worthy'...know what I mean?

These 'latest' shootings seem to be more 'personal' than the regular 'mass killer on the loose' stuff of before. Like for instance, 2 guys get in a 'heated' argument. But instead of just fisting the opponent, one guy goes and gets a gun and shoots him.
