Spices Serrano and Cayenne peppers

Neighbor gave me several of each. I sliced up 2 of the Serrano's, removed the seeds and put them in a pot roast which added a little zing.

I have no experience with Cayenne pepper and don't know what to so with them; any Ideas?

I make tea with ground red pepper (cayenne) which prevents sniffles and cures colds
Also use it in chilli recipe

Just boil water
add pepper and let it steep till water turns pink

Dont add sugar or milk tho since this is a "medicine "

We dry our cayenne peppers for use throughout the year in any recipe that needs a little zing (stir-fries, soups, casseroles, on top of pizza, etc). Just lay them out in a single layer on a wire cooling rack for a few weeks until completely dried (we put the drying peppers on a shelf in our sun room or garage so they're out of the way). Once they're completely dry, put a few handfuls in a 1 gallon plastic zip top bag, seal the bag and roll over them with a rolling pin to crush them up. You can remove the stems before storing in glass jars or just take them out as you use the crushed peppers when cooking.

I put my hot peppers in a blender and crush them up and them put them into a shaker, makes it easy to sprinkle onto whatever you want.
