It was a commercial. These are actual screen shots. How isn’t this election interference. And not to mention threatening.

The real Nazi fascist are pushing it. It was spoken word for word by a black man … or person of color. Whatever works

Future Forward USA Action - InfluenceWatch

Future Forward USA Action

Future Forward USA Action (Future Forward USA) is a left-of-center organization that creates, advertises, and submits petitions on a variety of issues, including the economy, health care, welfare spending, and election laws. 1 The organization is an affiliate of the Future Forward USA PAC. 2 The organization has also made considerable contributions to political action committees (PACs) that support the election of Democratic Party politicians. 3

Background

Future Forward USA was created in 2018 and led by Chauncey Mclean. The organization is an affiliate of the Future Forward USA PAC. 4

Finances

In 2018, Future Forward USA received $6,942,885 in contributions, 5 incurred $2,877,797 in expenses, 6 and possessed $4,030,742 in net assets. 7

In 2020, Future Forward USA Action received $150,902,844 in revenue, spent $149,377,966 in expenses, and had $6,864,441 in assets. 8

According to its 2021 990 form, Future Forward USA Action had a revenue of $13,185,535, expenses of $16,782,434, and assets of $3,267,542. 9

2020 Election

In 2020, Future Forward USA Action made $61,002,270 in contributions to the Future Forward USA PAC (FF PAC), 10 which in turn engaged in a more than $70 million “blitz” spending campaign in support of Joe Biden during the last five weeks of the 2020 presidential campaign. 11 Since the 2020 election, FF PAC has received roughly $77 million in donations from Future Forward USA Action. 12

According to tax forms, between July and November 2020 Future Forward USA Action received roughly $55.8 million in donations from the Impetus Fund, a left-of-center nonprofit managed by for-profit consulting firm Arabella Advisors. 13 14In addition, Future Forward USA Action has received donations from other Arabella-affiliated nonprofits in 2020: $15.2 million from Sixteen Thirty Fund, $6.7 million from the North Fund, and $1.8 million from the Hopewell Fund. 15

Biden Administration

In 2023 right-of-center watchdog group Americans for Public Trust (APT) released a report detailing how several nonprofit organizations managed by billionaire and foreign national Hansjorg Wyss had donated roughly $475 million to several left-leaning nonprofit organizations including left-of-center grantmaking organization Fund for a Better Future (FBF). Climate Power, which FBF is the parent company of, worked with Future Forward USA Action and strategy hub Way to Win to fund a $20 million ad campaign promoting health, economic, and environmental policies passed the Biden Administration. The report though claims that media analysts deduced that the ads were, “influenced by Democratic research.” 16 17

Petitions

Economy

Future Forward USA distributes petitions that support expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit, a mechanism used to directly distribute taxpayer revenue to low-income families, 18 and which during the COVID-19 pandemic, and afterwards, was used to directly redistribute income to families with children 17 and younger. 19

Healthcare

Future Forward USA distributes petitions that advocate for increased government control over healthcare. The organization has posted petitions that urge petitioners to demand that their Congressional representatives support the Affordable Care Act, also referred to as Obamacare. 20

Infrastructure Spending

Future Forward USA has posted a petition urging readers to call the United States Senate and leave a contact number. The petition instructs readers to urge their Senator to support investment infrastructure, claiming that increased infrastructure spending will support the middle class. 21

Election Law

Future Forward USA states that its readers should support stronger sanctions against foreign interference in elections, claiming that “Russian meddling in our elections drowns out the voices of ordinary Americans.” 22 Future Forward USA endorsed false claims that Donald Trump colluded with the Russian government during the 2016 presidential election.

Despite engaging in tens of millions of dollars in free speech activity through contributions to PACs, the organization advocates for “robust” rules limiting such activity. 23

Leadership

Chauncey McLean is the president of Future Forward USA. Prior to joining the organization, he was the director of media tracking for the Democratic National Committee from 2011-2012. 24 McLean worked on the 2012 Obama Presidential Campaign, and was instrumental in developing data-mining and analytics as common practices in political campaigns. 25 McLean is also the founder and head of development for Berkeley Yeast, 26 a corporation that develops unique strains of yeast for beer and wine production. 2

Future Forward USA PAC (FF PAC)

Political leanings: Democratic

2022 total spending: $31.2 million

Future Forward USA PAC, legally known as FF PAC, is a liberal political action committee created in 2018, ahead of Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.

The group is what’s known as a hybrid PAC or Carey committee. That means it “has the ability to operate both as a traditional PAC, contributing funds to a candidate’s committee, and as a super PAC, which makes independent expenditures,” according to OpenSecrets. Carey committees must have separate bank accounts for those purposes.

FF PAC was established by Future Forward USA Action, a liberal advocacy group that says its mission is “to help rebuild America’s middle class — and American democracy — by advancing new ideas and fresh perspectives.”

Chauncey McLean, who previously served as director of media tracking for the Democratic Party in 2012, is the hybrid PAC’s president. McLean’s strategy during the 2012 election “revolutionized political ad buying” by using data to target ads to the most persuadable voters, according to the New York Times.

In July, the Times also reported that FF PAC has become the Biden-Harris reelection campaign’s preferred super PAC, ahead of Priorities USA Action, which had been a main outside group supporting Democratic presidential candidates in past elections.

As of June 30, FF PAC had raised just over $67,000 for the 2024 election cycle, and about $56,000 of that was contributed by Future Forward USA Action, which, as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, can raise unlimited amounts of money without disclosing its donors. Filings with the Federal Election Commission also show that for the 2020 presidential and 2022 midterm campaign cycles, FF PAC raised a combined $182 million, with more than $77 million coming from its parent organization.

In the 2020 and 2022 elections, the PAC also spent $182 million, including about $158 million on independent expenditures, which are communications that “expressly advocate” the election or defeat of a specific candidate. According to the ad-tracking service AdImpact, FF PAC paid to run just one ad in 2023 – a 30-second spot encouraging Virginia voters to support Democrats in the November 2023 elections.

So far, much of the pro-Biden advertising in the 2024 cycle has come from Future Forward USA Action, which spent at least $14.8 million to run 86 different ads last year, according to AdImpact’s figures. During the last presidential election, the advocacy group spent about $28 million on “advertising and promotions,” according to its tax filings for 2019 and 2020.

...so...people will be able to tell that I vote regularly. But they have no idea how. And this is a threat?

Makes one wonder … what kind of list you’ll be on. Like if you don’t vote … they got your number. Some people DGAS anymore. None of their business. Or your neighbors, family, co-workers, etc.

Why pay for a TV add ?

Maybe if you didn't vote you become suspect of not doing enough to fix the "problem," whatever problem that may be?

Got mail today. From my city clerk office. Forgot to sign my ballot that I dropped off on Monday. Had the choice to request a new ballot, mail the signature correction card, or show up in person at city clerk.
Signed into the state website for voters and checked my account or record. They had every vote I've made for years. Even revotes of school budgets. I had no idea this was all recorded.

Odd information to post about an election although it isn't really wrong. Voter turnout lists are public record. Just strange to run an ad stating that.

I first took it for some sort of odd-ball public info thing but can see, from the way it was worded, how it can be interpreted either way. If the person chose to verbalize it was obviously Black by way of simple speech identification it was intended as a threat to Blacks. You don't use a Scotsman to make public announcements to the Irish, because the accent doesn't translate automatically. This looks to be intended to be under the radar as it were, unless you understand the secret code. The decoder ring reveals "Be afraid."

I have been seeing these ads a lot especially on the local channels. Didn't understand why or what purpose they served. They seem to be threatening but who would care if there is info that you voted as long as who you voted for was private. Weird.

Most people don't understand that the "problems" will NEVER be fixed by men or women.

IF they could have been fixed it should have been done a LONG time ago.

Politicians don't want to fix much of anything. THEN they would become irrelevant. They certainly can't have that, now can they?

Remember Bush saying: read my lips. No new taxes.

Then they did what? Most are simply drinking the Kool aid and not using the brains God gave them.

If the capacity to record the action of voting exists, recording the choice of that vote exists. Prove me wrong.

It certainly does. My MIL (God rest her soul) worked on the elections for many years. She said it's NOT a secret ballot.

Our showing up to vote is recorded. That way we can't vote twice, or someone else vote in our name. Picture ID and all that.

The ballots are universal. I could write in Mr. Magoo for every office being voted on and no one would know it was me. They only know I appeared and was given a ballot, even if I chose to not use it. These were not mail-on ballots so there was no registration to me, and the machine had no way of knowing if it was me or the granny voting next to me, or the farmer who came in after me pushing the ballot envelope into the slot.

I think I just figured this out. In Michigan we had a non citizen Chinese student at U of M using his school ID that voted and got caught. What if these messages are from our side warning that if you are not a citizen and you vote you may get caught because everyone will know that you voted. Maybe this is a way to cut down on illegals voting. We are so conditioned to the other side threatening us that it didn't make sense until I saw the news and turned the threat around.

In my town you show ID and get checked off in a printed list of registered voters. If you vote early or absentee it is checked off in that list. They then hand you the ballot or ballots and off you go to fill in the circles. There is no way for them to tell how you voted. The ballots all come out of the same stack on the table.

Google your name. I was surprised that's public knowledge and as easy as a click or two of the mouse, to find out if someone is registered as a Republican or Democrat.

So it's not completely anonymous, people can figure out who most likely you voted for.

I'm not happy at all that anyone can Google my name and know who I most likely voted for.

They must be planning to go after those who did not vote at all, using publicly available voter rolls....because you did not help them to retain power, and that makes you an enemy of democracy or something.
