Do they still show the American Flag inside of Sam's Club?

Owner says the flag at Walmart is now absent.

Renton (WA) Walmart just expanded its self-checkout section and reduced the number of employee-manned checkstands. Now there's one big line to get into the self-checkout "pen." Went through with no problems, but I didn't buy any produce.

Self-checkout is fine with me because the last 2 times I went through employee checkout there, I was charged for items I refused as potentially defective (a similar can had opened and made a mess) or didn't even have in my cart! If you let their employees check you out, be sure to watch 'em like a hawk.

After my self-checkout, I did keep the receipt in my hand to show the employee at the door, who just glanced at it and marked it with a highlighter. No line for the receipt checker.

When someone else checks me out, I don't bother showing my receipt (which goes straight in my wallet) and just keep heading out the door. If they want to accuse me of being a theif, they're going to have to chase me to do so!
Renton, Wa. Walmart!

That's brave! I won't go there, I went one time and was warned about the local Rainier Ave. denizens who linger there and hooo boy, they weren't kidding! V

We’ve been Costco members for a long time. Never paid for their membership ( just the very first time). We bought their executive membership and it pays for itself with the rebate check they send us every year. Plus a few bucks left over to spend.

Love Costco as does my wife. Our favorite store to shop. My wife is driving me nuts right now to go back to get some more of their pumpkin muffins before they’re are gone. Man are they good.
The muffins freeze well too! V

You need to calm down. There isn't any where else to buy 20 tooth brushes at a time. You are limiting yourself. LOL! Was there today. Great store. The company pays for my card. They are pretty well stocked. A few things are going missing but you have to look.

Costco has lamb shanks, short ribs and pot roast in cartons in the refrigerated case. Heat for 30 minutes. Exceptional!

As rumors of this pending trucker strike continue to swirl, there is a way for your relatives and friends who are non or lapsed membership, to get their foot in the door at Costco with no membership

no one day pass like Sam's but they cannot refuse you entry to fill prescription

Apparently its the same with the $25 gift card. If you can get a member to purchase one, you reimburse, you can go in and use it. This is one way (esp younger couples with small kids & struggling with Covid furloughs) to shop there. Folks laid off or jobs perm lost are strained to keep the car gassed and lights on. Many have let cable and Costco go in order to cut expenses. A one time shopping trip may not justify a $60 membership ( that's three $20 bags of groceries at Aldis for instance). I just checked, Ebay has 84 results for "Costco Gift Card". Nice stocking stuffer.

Does Costco Offer a Free One-Day Guest Pass?

Although Costco doesn’t offer a one-day guest pass, there’s a workaround that basically gives you the same opportunity to shop at Costco for one day. What you need to do is get a hold of a Costco gift card. If you have a Costco gift card, you can shop at their warehouses even if you don’t have a membership (these also work for purchasing gas at Costco gas stations, which is often the least expensive with the same gas quality as top tier gas stations. In this way, it works exactly like a guest pass.

How Do You Get a Costco Gift Card?

The only people who can buy Costco gift cards are members. You can’t walk into a warehouse and buy one if you aren’t a member. Since you can’t buy one on your own, there are two main ways people without a membership get them:

1. Ask a friend who has a membership.
Probably the easiest way to get one is to give a friend who has a membership at Costco the money and ask them to pick up a gift card the next time they go. The least expensive card is $25, but you can buy as much as you want at the store as long as you have a card with some money on it (you simply pay anything above the value of the gift card in cash). You could also request one as a gift for a special occasion (birthday, Christmas, etc)

2. Buy it on eBay or Amazon.
Another way to get a gift card is to purchase it on a secondary market such as eBay or Amazon
ir
if you don’t have any friends with a membership, or simply don’t want to ask them to buy you one. Again, it doesn’t matter what amount is actually on the gift card (it could only be a few cents, and you’d still be OK), you just need one with money on it to shop at Costco.
When entering Costco, you simply show the gift card
ir
and they will let you pass as if it were a membership card. At check out, tell the cashier you only have a gift card. The cashier will need to have a manager give a special code to accept it (there are always managers on the floor and it only takes a few seconds) and you will be good to go. If your items cost more than you have on the gift card, you will need to pay cash.
Another way to shop without getting a gift card is to shop with a friend who has a membership. You can get inside the store with them, but they will have to pay for all the purchases you make. You can pay them back for your purchases once you leave the store.

So while Costco doesn’t have an official one-day guest pass program, there are ways to shop at their warehouses without paying $60 for a membership.

Sam's used to have a fantastic perk for business member accounts. 7-10 am open only for business card holders was free up until the past year so. Used to go in and literally there were more employees than customers. Loved it. Then it changed to a plus card and you can get in early now. I keep the card because gas prices are usually 10-15 cents a gallon cheaper and it easily pays for the membership in gas price savings. Used to have Costco but got tired of them constantly getting rid of products that I liked. Could find them in San Antonio but not down here. They did have good gas also. At one point their gas was 20-25 cents a gallon cheaper and paid the membership off in about a month with all the driving going on then.
