RACE WAR Salvation Army wants white donors to offer a "sincere apology" for their racism

Lilbitsnana

On TB every waking moment
I just re-read the "Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas; This special time of year is a welcome reminder of the things we are grateful for....."

In no way does this sound like an apology, or even a walking-back of the insult, requesting White people apologise for being White & Racist.

I know Racism exists; I've never understood it but it's there. I also know it is not a White-only thing and personally experienced 'reverse discrimination'; too long and inappropriate to go into here. I've witnessed Racist activity by every race against all others and I'm not alone or unique there.

For SA to deliver such a condemnation of all White people and then have the gall to ignore how justified the reaction is (tightening of donation purse strings being almost immediate) or issuing an actual apology, indicates my reaction was correct.

There's an axiom I followed in business; never do business with a competitor. I extrapolate that to include never support an entity or group which wants to inhibit or in some way curtail your rights. If they falsely accuse me of something, they're doubly damned in my eyes.

If this Woke stance SA has taken inhibits them in the future, so be it.

I preach responsibility for one's actions and live by that. If I'm wrong, that's it; obviously I didn't have all the information I needed but I can correct that. SA seems to have moved off a path I can support so, I'm done with them.

This is probably the last time I'll even think of the organisation.

JMO & worth what it cost you get.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
Hopefully 2022 is the 1st step towards removing the Socialist boot so many want to put on our necks.

I never took the email I got as an apology. It was definitely saying that the wanting White people to apologize was fake and a rumor.

I knew from actual experience it was real and they were lying to try to get people to keep or start donating again.

It is a shame, but just like I have not donated to Red Cross for years because of real life things I witnessed, I won't ever forget they (Salvation Army) rejected my donation this year or why it was rejected.

Now it just means that the charities I do give to will get more. Lots more.

Yes I have a fairly good comprehension of English and the original message asked Whites to apologise for White Racism.

As someone said, "They are hoisted on their own Petard" - is that from Hamlet? Been a fair bit of time since HS.

When I heard about this --my first thought was this may be a way to take down the only charity i still donate to.
Sad about it--I used to drop $5 or $10 dollars in their red kettles out side of stores.
This year they have loud music playing that drowns out the bell ringing African americans --unusual since this is an area and store that is favored by the Hispanic crowd.
I suspect donations will be markedly down this year --and will be blamed on racism of the area residents.
It's like being riddled from inside by marxist termites.

We do that now; coats for kids, vet support and medical supplies ($$$ mostly as I think they get more for 100.00 than I ever will)

I was asking if someone had a reliable agency in that area because my wife wants to direct some $$$ there

But thanks for the harangue; I'll keep it in mind.

Trace Creek Baptist Church in Mayfield, KY is collecting for tornado relief. You can donate online with a DEBIT card (no credit cards) or your checking account. And you have to select Tornado Relief from the pull-down menu

If you want to mail them a check: Trace Creek Baptist Church - 3577 State Route 131, Mayfield, KY 42066

I heard about them on Facebook - a FB group for helping dogs, one of the members is part of that church.

Communist infiltration, quietly ongoing for much longer than most realize.

Planned decades ago.

Observe, and learn the game. Our collective future is at stake.

ALL the marbles.

They will need to carry on, long after the rest of us have expired. Unwinding all of this will not come quickly. Biggest pending time-sink involved has to do with affecting legitimate change in people's minds - will NOT happen, overnight - multi-generational effort.

The cultural rot is deep.

Well, it seems to me that the SA has bitten the hand that literally feeds. They forgot that Whites fund everything they do and have for decades. blacs are notorious for not tipping, etc. They just don't contribute to things like this. They are on the receiving end instead and they like it. The average pavement ape is a hustler. He'll steal the kettle before he drops ANYTHING in.

Who's the moron at SA who decided this would be good PR?

SA did NOT "forget" that it is the whites that provide the primary funding for their organization.

What is taking place with SA is INTENTIONAL - by communist infiltration - designed to elicit EXACTLY the reaction/effect that is occurring.

The strangest irony about all of this is S A-- got its start in the U.S. in Oakland CA.

TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Topeka Salvation Army is asking the local community for help in reaching its $260,000 goal for its 2021 Annual Red Kettle Campaign.

As of Tuesday, Jan. 4, the Topeka Salvation Army has reached 28.1% or $73,060 of its total fundraising goal.

“The money raised at Christmas not only assists in providing food and toys for those in need at Christmas time, but is part of the fundraising effort for over 33% of our yearly budget,” Captain Cristian Lopez said. “As our biggest fundraiser of the year, it is imperative that we make our goal so that our social service programs and community meals are sustainable throughout the year.”

Social services for low-income individuals and struggling families are provided by the Salvation Army throughout the year. These services include hot meals served Monday through Friday for those in need.
Topeka residents can donate to the Salvation Army not just by dropping money in the red kettles but also by donating online at www.centralusa.sa.org/topeka or through their Facebook page.

I'm sure it's definitely a result of their "wokeness!!" Get woke, go broke!!

They'd better cut their budget or go out of business, and I'm sure if they cut their budget, all the "whities" will lose any help. That's all right. With this much of a cut, I'm sure a lot of the "blackies" will have their help and services cut, too.

Get woke, go broke! You tick off your major benefactors (or, in the case of a business, your customers), then you just have to pay the piper. Capisce?

Neither here nor there.
It was interesting watching the fall out on Facebook. Liberals trying to guilt conservatives into donating and that by refusing to do so confirmed their systemic racism. I’m sure 5hat that did not help Salvation Army’s bottom line either.

Along with coins this Christmas, Salvation Army wants white donors to offer a "sincere apology" for their racism

Richard and Janet Munn are leading the Salvation Army's push to get its white donors to apologize for being racist. | Salvation Army/DifferenceMakers.org

The Salvation Army wants its white donors to give it more than just money this Christmas season. Its leadership is also demanding they apologize for being racist.
It's part of a push by the Christian charitable organization to embrace the ideas of Black Lives Matter, an activist group working to, among other things, "dismantle white privilege" and "disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure."

The Salvation Army's Alexandria-based leadership has created an "International Social Justice Commission" which has developed and released a "resource" to educate its white donors, volunteers and employees called Let's Talk about Racism. It asserts Christianity is institutionally racist, calling for white Christians to repent and offer "a sincere apology" to blacks for being "antagonistic.. to black people or the culture, values and interests of the black community."

"Many have come to believe that we live in a post-racial society, but racism is very real for our brothers and sisters who are refused jobs and housing, denied basic rights and brutalized and oppressed simply because of the color of their skin," one lesson explains. "There is an urgent need for Christians to evaluate racist attitudes and practices in light of our faith, and to live faithfully in today’s world."

In an accompanying Study Guide on Racism, Salvation Army authors explain that all whites are racist, even if they don't realize it.

“The subtle nature of racism is such that people who are not consciously racist easily function with the privileges, empowerment and benefits of the dominant ethnicity, thus unintentionally perpetuating injustice," it says.
"Sunday school curriculum that only uses white photography and imagery" is an example given that perpetuates injustice.
"We must stop denying the existence of individual and systemic/ institutional racism. They exist, and are still at work to keep White Americans in power," the lesson says.

"These systems give privileges to white people"
Let's Talk about Racism pushes arguments identical to those of leading "Critical Race Theory" purveyors Robin DiAngelo and Henry Rogers (a.k.a. Ibram Kendi), whose work is recommended by Salvation Army authors.

DiAngelo and Rogers (Kendi) claim that any observable difference in relative behavior or accomplishment between racial groups is due to the inherent racism of whites, arguing against the traditional American concept of equal opportunity in favor of the Marxist-inspired goal of equality of outcome.

"Structural racism.. is the overarching system of racial bias across institutions and society. These systems give privileges to White people resulting in disadvantages to (blacks)," reads a Salvation Army lesson.
Proponents of "Critical Race Theory" don't believe whites, Asians or Hispanics can avoid being prejudiced against blacks. They want them to demonstrate what they call "anti-racism" in favor of blacks, helping to establish lower standards for them than they do members of other racial groups, or making cash "reparation" payments to blacks as compensation for alleged previous racism.

"Stop trying to be ‘colorblind’. While this might sound helpful, it actually ignores the God-given differences we all possess, as well as the beautiful cultures of our Black and Brown brothers and sisters," Let's Talk about Racism explains. "Instead of trying to be colorblind, try seeing the beauty in our differences, and welcome them into your homes churches and workplaces. Being colorblind also ignores the discrimination our Black and Brown brothers and sisters face and does not allow us to address racism properly."

Founded in 1865 in London, England, the Salvation Army is both a protestant Christian church and an international charitable organization. Its first "red kettle" was set up in Oakland, California in 1891.
National advisory board members include Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones, Chick-Fil-A Foundation President Rodney Bullard and charter school pioneer J.C. Huizenga
I can tell you that a organization very near and dear to my heart got a 4 digit donation ,and it was told to my face by the donar why he was donating to us instead of the SA and we will get all of his donations for the future.

When I was a kid we had very little. Mom used to call these folks the Sallies and thought highly of them. The Salvation Army kept us in clothing. Good people. Darn shame that a couple of complete racist idiots can destroy something doing that much good so fast. Haven't seen one bell ringer this year.

This year, most of the red kettles that I've seen have padlocks on with no one around.

It's sad that a once great, proud organization committed suicide.

Not sure they can recover from this?

I currently view SA as a terrorist organization.

Owner says he saw someone ringing a bell adjacent to a box. Young dude perhaps 25ish.

"He was dressed in jeans and a coat - no Salvation Army Uniform, not even a Santa get-up."

So they are out there...

Kind of like poll box mules perhaps.

Don't screw with an engineer
I've seen SA ringers  once since Thanksgiving. They used to be a very worthy organization. They helped us after a 1997 tornado tore up our home, even though we weren't "poor" at the time, just younger and not so financially secure. We made it a definite point to give back in years since. In spades.
But... since their woke BS, our donations of several thousand per year went to a couple of twenties if I had one in my pocket when I was passing a bell ringer. And we no longer load up several hundred dollars of groceries to deliver to them.

Wow! One of the very few ministries I thought was on the up and up…

If this is true, they’re dead to me and millions of others…that’s just the way it is…

May the Lord judge between them and those that supported them for years…the same people they’re slandering and insulting!
Are they the one that has a rather large plane for their president?

Oddly my wife brought this up a few days ago. We made a quick trip to Kroger and as we were driving out of the lot she said I blew past the red kettle like it was infected w/ something.
I explained SA wanted all white donors to apologise sincerely for being white.

Not sure I've ever seen such a look of incredulity on anyone's face.

Bump an old thread because guess who's whining that donations are down??
That happens every year the week before Christmas.

I do believe "a bit" in redemption and have not heard anything negative out of them this year, so have given a few bucks at the grocery checkout lane, etc. but actually have not had a chance to put my usual larger donation in a bucket - because I haven't been anywhere that had a bucket and bell ringer this year. Maybe Saturday when I go to the feed store.

Anyway - fine with me if everybody follows their own muse on this one. :shr:

They will never get a cent from me again.
My goodness....talk about shooting yourself in the foot!!......Duh..... Einstein once said that there was a thin line between genius and stupidity....the only thing was that there are limits to genius. This USED TO BE one of our favorite donation sites ,,,,,time to examine our giving schedule, I guess, just saying.....the old guy who lives in da woods and has been busting his butt for over 80 years and is just tired...have a good day and God bless......

Racism? .........how about reality?

So the system "gives privilege to White people?".......why no sheet sherlock............they created it to begin with!!!!

and privilege is earned by the people who created it...........and not given to them.

Except for Blacks in American society today with all their AA hires, lower standards for admissions and other apologetic social/business programs that are handed out to them like skittles in a store loot because of that....

"Turreble turreble legacy of slabbory."

Those spiritually clowns need to do some reading up on the subject........
