Okay, so as of now, here's what's been completed:
- Cruise control repaired (from older update)
- Engine belts and hoses inspected and replaced as needed (from older update)
- Wheel alignment and chassis lube (from older update)
- Windshields re-seated in new gaskets
- Defroster air directors (vents) replaced
- Closet door latches replaced
- CB Radio and antenna installed
- 120v electrical outlet installed in master bedroom
- Old warped trim pieces replaced
- New tires on front and all tires aired up to spec
- Water filter cartridge replaced
- "Porch" light fixtures replaced
- Main entry screen-door sliding cover replaced (was cracked all the way across)
- Roof resealed (from older update)
- New roof A/C and vent covers installed (from older update)
- New microwave installed (from older update)
- Burned out fog light replaced (As an aside, EVERY light in the thing, both inside and out, is now working, and I have at least 1-2 spares for each light type)
- Exhaust leak repaired (from older update)
- Air leak under dash repaired
- Replaced windshield washer sprayer nozzles (mounted on the wipers)
Still in need of:
- Dashboard A/C repair (compressor and air dryer) (Won't happen soon; $500)
- Awning fabric replaced (Won't happen soon; $350)
- Entry-door window privacy curtain
So as you can see, I'm pretty much as close as I'm going to get without getting work. But if I need to jump in and live in it, I can do that now and reasonably expect everything to work. I am beginning initial provisioning. I've already loaded 18 weeks worth of dog food into one of the basement compartments. Also, I've loaded personal hygiene supplies and the OTC meds that I use, as well as silverware and measuring cups and spoons.
I still need to load dishes and cookware, of which I have a "second set" buried somewhere in the basement that I need to find. Towels are on-board, as are washcloths and dish towels. TP and paper towels are loaded as well. I'm trying to load the miscellaneous stuff first. Stuff that when I finally have to load-up and go, I'd likely forget in the rush. When that time arrives, all I want to have to load are dog toys and beds, clothes and food, fill the fresh water tank, and GO. Oh, I have a couple of those zero gravity lounge chairs from Wal-mart, so I have something to sit on when I'm outside. (I can't believe that I had NO "outside" foldup chairs at all.
So one thing at a time. But it sure felt good this morning to rip off all that old cabinet trim and replace it with the new stuff. Looks really nice in there now. I still have a little woodworking to do, so I haven't cleaned the floors in it yet. That comes after everything else is complete and I'm not making messes in there from "remodeling."
Oh, and I'd better not need anything more by way of immediate repairs, because I'm stripped bare of funding from all this...
