Russian ambassador to the UK says Putin WON'T use nuclear weapons in Ukraine insisting they will only be deployed when 'the existence of the state is endangered' - as he condemns claims of war crimes as 'fabrication'

  • Russia's ambassador claims it is unlikely it will use nuclear weapons on Ukraine
  • Andrei Kelin told BBC that tactical nuclear weapons are under strict provision
  • Putin put his nuclear forces on high alert in February, widely seen as a warning
  • Russia is thought to have around 2,000 tactical nuclear weapons in its arsenal
  • Leaders of France and Germany meanwhile implored Putin to consider talks
  • They asked the despot to hold 'direct and serious negotiations' with Zelensky

Russia is unlikely to use its tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine, according to the country's ambassador to Britain.

Andrei Kelin said that due to Russia's military rules, nuclear weapons are under strict provision and not used for conflicts such as Ukraine.

Putin put his nuclear forces on high alert three months ago in a move many considered to be a warning after criticising Nato and the West, the BBC reports.

At the time, Britain's Defence Secretary Ben Wallacedescribed it as a diversion tactic away from the failures of its delayed invasion of Ukraine.

Russia is thought to have around 2,000 tactical nuclear weapons.

Tactical nuclear weapons can travel short distances, unlike 'strategic' nuclear weapons which can go farther and are much more closely linked to the prospect of nuclear war.

Ambassador Kelin has denied Russia shelled civilians in Ukraine and insists claims of war crimes in Bucha are 'a fabrication'.

He added: 'The mayor of Bucha in his initial statement has confirmed that Russian troops has left, everything is clean and calm, the town in a normal state.

'Nothing is happening, no bodies are on the street. But next, after it has been done - but anyway...

'In our view it is a fabrication. It is used just to interrupt negotiations,' the ambassador replied.'

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has previously insisted pictures of bodies strewn in the streets of Bucha were 'staged' - a claim contradicted by numerous eyewitnesses.

Kelin's declarations come as the leaders of France and Germany implored Russian President Vladimir Putin to consider talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz reportedly spoke with the despot for 80 minutes and insisted he must hold 'direct and serious negotiations' with Zelensky to bring about a ceasefire.

The pair 'insisted on an immediate ceasefire and a withdrawal of Russian troops', according to a statement given by Scholz's office.

The Kremlin meanwhile said Putin would be 'open' to resuming talks with Kyiv, but did not mention any possibility of direct negotiations between the leaders of the warring nations.

Zelensky previously said he was not 'eager' for talks after weeks of having his repeated calls for negotiations aired, but recognised they would likely be necessary to end the conflict.

France and Germany also urged the Russian President to release 2,500 Ukrainian fighters captured at the Azovstal steelworks in Mariupol.

"I" don't live in Ukraine.

From the beginning, the concern has been that he was going to use nukes in Poland, Germany, England and the US.

For me, this seems like very little reassurance.

Not buying it, he said he wasn't going to invade the Ukraine and yet he did!

From what I was getting there was agreements made long ago when the Ukraine separated from Russia and the Ukraine was subjecting some people to punishment because they have some attachments to Russia but live in what now Ukraine.
There also seems to be more to the story and the Ukraine does not want the rest of the world to know.

Makes sense. What the hell good would it do Russia to have Ukraine be unusable?
Russia doesn't consider nuclear war to be a world ending event like many in the West do. The land wouldn't be considered unusable long term, and that is a calculation that the Russians may make if it benefits them. If they do use a nuke in this war it will be a world changing event and will set a precedent for the use of nuclear weapons from then on.

Radioactive land is still useable. People can be sent in to work the land. Of course, new groups of people will have to be sent in every so often to dispose of the glowing remains of the previous group. And then they can work the land until they glow. Rinse and repeat.

On this Memorial Day, we look over the millions of grave markers and realize once again that wars are the product of the insane. You want to stop this war? Stop Putin.

Ukraine is the Breadbasket, like the Wheatfields of Kansas here. Staring down a GSM and facing famine, I'd not nuke it, either.

Ukraine is also the old Khazarian homeland. Russia tossed them out on their ear in 758AD. This long war will have an ending, one way or another. If Putin, for all his faults, is against the Khazarian Deep State, then the world may still have a chance.

Putin is up against the Babylonian Money Magic Makers. They just financed their war off our backs to the tune of 40 bil. Russia has Gold, it will have to be enough.

Ever wonder why America isn't mentioned in any prophetic works or bible verse? Because we the people weren't asked how we wanted to go, but our politicians allied themselves with the worst of the lot- Khazarians. The entire world has had enough of them and we will be razed off the map. A smoking hole left where once America stood. Melodramatic? I don't think so.

Russia has higher value targets of opportunity to nuke besides Ukraine- Us. Use Neutron and still have land and structures intact.

I read somewhere that the neutron bomb is not actually in existence. I thought at the time that was peculiar, since when has mankind ever devised a weapon and then not built it? If they are extant, it would still be devastating to the land. It kills the necessary organisms in the soil to several feet down, not to mention every living thing above ground.
