Livestock Rootin' In Ditches...

Down on the Farm...
This is my "pet piggy" Rooty, I know I probably posted his pics before but darn it he's just a super good boy. Today he got bored and let himself out so he could root through the ditches. Then I took the broom and scratched his back and he fell over in the road and napped awhile. (Until the neighbor needed by). He's a huge guy but the Large Black breed is known for their gentle nature, making it easy to guide him home and back into his fence.

Awesome pictures. I love pigs! Had a black one named Rootin' He was friendly and very clever. Also had a pot belly pig named Wilbur (named by our then 5 year old daughter) who grew to be normal sized. He was just Mr. Cool. Roamed our farm here for years and always wanted to come into the house, but he was just too large.

Please give Rooty an ear scratch from me.

Sorry so long answering you, I didn't see that anyone had commented! I love free range pigs too. They only smell bad if they're penned up in a little area. Hasn't been very long since I had to convince Rooty that the deck wasn't his personal porch! lol
