Actress Sonya Eddy, who has portrayed nurse Epiphany Johnson on TV soap, General Hospital, has died. She was 55. The soap’s Executive Producer Frank Valentini issued a statement saying that he and the production is “heartbroken.”

“I am heartbroken about the loss of the incredible Sonya Eddy. I truly loved her not only as an actress but as a friend,” Valentini wrote in a tweet on Tuesday. “The lights in the hub of the nurses’ station will now be a bit dimmer, but her spirit and light will live on in both the show and our set. On behalf of the entire GH cast and crew, we send our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and fans. She will be very missed.”

Academy Award-winner, and friend, Octavia Spencer also posted her sorrow over the loss on Instagram:
“My friend @sonyaeddy passed away last night,” Spencer wrote alongside a photo of Eddy. “The world lost another creative angel. Her legions of @generalhospitalabc fans will miss her.”

Eddy joined the cast of General Hospital in 2006, as her character took her place as the head nurse of the show’s titular hospital.
Eddy also appeared other shows, including Fresh Off the Boat, Seinfeld, and Glee.

The actor’s cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

The long-time soap has lost several cast members recently. Last year, Jay Pickett, who portrayed Det. David Harper, died of a heart attack, and Bergen Williams, who portrayed Big Alice on the show, also died. And in February, cast member Lindsey Pearlman went missing but was soon found dead from a suicide.

Tom Terrific, Mr. Perfect, RIP dude. Poor guy had a severe problem with alcohol. He was arrested back
in late August 60 miles from home on a DUI and he really didn't know where he was. So sad. I'm sure
this contributed to his early best buy date.

I fully expect to go in to town to WalMart next year
and be confronted with a small child who points at me
and turns to ask her mommy “Mommy, mommy, what’s wrong with that man?”

only to her the little urchins male parent unit reply,
”Put your mask on dear, that’s an old man that was never vaccinated . . . And he could be contagious”

only to see the small child tear up and wail “I don’t want to catch the . . . old”

to which the parent unit replies “Don’t worry dear, you will never grow old, we have your booster shot scheduled for next week”

Rapper Big Scarr, whose real name was Alexander Woods, died on Thursday at the age of 22. His cause of death remains unclear.
Big Scarr, who was from Memphis, Tennessee, was pronounced dead on Thursday, law enforcement sources told TMZ. The investigation into the rapper’s death is still being conducted, but there are reportedly no signs of foul play.

Fellow rapper Gucci Mane — who founded the label 1017 Records, which Big Scarr was signed to — took to Instagram on Thursday to post a few photos of the rapper, writing, “This hurt. I’m a miss you.”
Big Scarr had recently made it onto the 2022 XXL Freshman List, meaning that he was a relatively unknown rapper who was considered to be on the rise.
Before his death, Big Scarr had already collaborated with big stars, such as Offset and Pooh Shiesty. The rapper was also perhaps best known for his song “SolcyBozy.”
Watch Below:

Big Scarr reportedly got his stage name after obtaining a scar in a bad car accident when he was 16 years old. The accident involved the rapper being thrown through the windshield of his friend’s vehicle.
And in 2020, Big Scarr was shot. The bullet traveled up his spine, which caused him to need to undergo surgery to have his appendix removed.
