The Snowflakes, anarchists, illegal immigrants are at it again in Downtown Portland. There are dozens of riot police fully deployed and engaged with the howling mobs. I have heard at least a dozen flashbangs deployed, saw a large fire set by the demonstrators down by 4th and Morrision, as well as demonstrators responding to police use of tear gas with M-80's. All in all, a nice, violent "peaceful" demonstration. :lol:

The police stated they have been hit with MOLOTOV COCKTAILS THROWN BY THE RIOTERS. Yeah, at least the new Mayor isn't taking any #%%% off the demonstrators. The PPD is also starting to make mass arrests.

The PPD has now arrested up to 24 rioters according to the local media. Downtown is in total chaos with mass transit disrupted, sirens and flashbangs still going off. Yep, Berkley North indeed!

Seattle is peaceful so far. City leaders told workers last week to take a holiday and it looks like they did. I just checked all the downtown camera's and it looks like a holiday indeed. All the anarchists must've gone to Portland. I'm glad we're avoiding it DD, and sorry to read about the trouble there.

It is a combination of things. You have the illegals with their own private one. You have the anti-Trump groups, plus a mish mash of various other ones. Finally, you have the masked anarchists who pulled the trigger on the actual rioting. The demonstration was peaceful until several hundred anarchists showed up at the rear of the march and starting throwing things at the police. The police declared it a riot, told everybody to leave, and then started kicking some ass with flashbangs, teargas and the equivalent of paintball rounds. At least under our new Mayor, the police now respond instantly to any violence, unlike the pussy Hales who allowed chaos on November 8th, 2016.

The damage from this one is easily in the several hundred thousand dollar range. They even tried to set the Target store a block away on fire, and did smash up their windows. FYI, each of those smashed business windows costs several thousand dollars to replace: EACH ONE and they smashed dozens of them. I know the insurance costs for having a business in downtown Portland have skyrocketed since November.

Soros is getting a fine return for his funding of sedition.

The business community in Portland is seething with rage at all this property damage and chaos. Portland got some good PR today, all of it pictures shown all over the world of total chaos, rioters and property damage. LOL

I'm sure the Chamber of Commerce will be getting a lot of calls expressing interest in moving into Portland and setting up a business!

Seattle is still quiet. Couple arrests here and there. Looks like Portland got the brunt of it this time.

My insurance won't cover a riot, and probably even a disturbance, so I doubt target and others will have insurance cover the costs of these criminals.

That is one of the major issues I have with these rioters, they destroy things and the people who are trying to make a living have to float the cost.

I can't really afford to just easily replace my vehicle if it got destroyed in a riot and my car insurance said sorry but we don't cover that stuff.

OK, I can believe that somewhat. But maybe more to the point:

But will any of them be convicted of anything and do jail time. My understanding is that rioters are generally released and then eventually the charges dropped. The rioting will continue until the rioters themselves are subject to paying a price for their actions.
