Review: Manwich Sloppy Joe Single

Didn't have much to do this afternoon - took a stroll through BIG LOTs and found Manwich Sloppy Joe Singles - With Groundbeef..

DW is out of town for the weekend,.. so I figured why not give it a test bun..

Heated per directions, and allowed to sit for about a minute.

Seems to have a little more liquid then I've seen in the past. A little ran out onto the plate. Covered the bun fairly well. But as it sits right now,.. an average person would need two packages to satisfy a days work.

The flavor isn't to bad. But it's not as good as cooking it all up yourself. But for a quick bite it isn't to bad. And I suppose if most prep'ed food tastes a bit different, then one would get used to the difference.

Thanks for the product review.

I'm just starting to look into single-serving prep stuff and trying it.

Today's purchase was a single (or 2- 1/2 cup servings) of Idahoan Instant mashed potatos. I'm going to "do" them tomorrow. It cost .33, so not bad for an experiment. Sometimes the packaged stuff costs less than do-it-yourself preps.

I always hesitate to eat products that "contain beef".....like Ravioli, etc.

You just never knew where this beef comes from or what kind of beef it is......scrapes, parts, entails or whatever....maybe stomachs. I mean if it is covered up in spaghetti sauce or BBQ sauce it is hard to tell. I mean tell me you have gotten a nibble of some of the meat minus the sauce and spit it out wondering what it was .....perhaps grissle?????? who knows for sure.

I think I would have to pass on this one although it is nifty packaging.
