If you are considering a move, you might want some data on the people in the place you might be relocating to. http://www.city-data.com/ will give you the background on the area. For instance, for my town of Colville, at
http://www.city-data.com/elec/elec-COLVILLE-WA.html I was able to look up the political contributions. This tells me the general political leanings of the town, and who has the big bucks to throw at their candidates. This gives an idea of who the movers & shakers are in the town. You can get races, employment figures, median gross rents, poverty status for native born residents (%), and much more. I put this under PREP because for many preppers, relocation may be an option.

Thanks, a valuble resource.

I hear many say you need to move to find work. Nothing worse than uprooting your family, spending your last $$ moving to find out that jobs are not what you were led to believe and the town has other problems that exacerbate issues, and now your stranded in a strange place!

This only works RIGHT if most EVERYBODY fills out that privacy-invading Census questionnaire... That is where most of this data comes from.

BTW - it's a good idea to do an area study as a prep exercise on the area where you live as well. Even if you aren't moving...
