Worth reposting:::: From ANGEL:

Takin’ the Train To Heaven
Heaven’s train has come ’a callin’
The conductor tells me, “time to go”
I hadn’t seen it comin’
I wish that I’d ‘a known
Soft smoke is billowin’, billowin’ up
The train whistles a fluted sound
And up eternity’s track we go
Leavin’ this earthly ground
I’d like to have known my passage was booked
The fare paid…my departure planned
‘Cause I was just as surprised as you
Alt. Verse: For I was still battling courageously
When from life-to-death I spanned
So here I stand on the departure docks
And into eternity I’ll go
But I’ll leave part of my heart with you
So you will always know…
THAT I LOVE YOU

I’ve found my seat now on the train
It’s feelin’ more like home
As for baggage…we all have none
C’ept for love n’ memories we’ve known
My ticket’s punched and handed back
After searchin’ my heart and face
I find it reads: “FIRST CLASS TO HEAVEN”
“THROUGH CHRIST’S ATONING GRACE”
And suddenly I’m feelin’ so much calm
‘Bout where I’ve been and where I’m goin’
And I can trust you all to God’s sweet grace
For his mercies you’ll be knowin’
I can see you all so clearly
As the train chugs n’ we depart
You’re all remainin’ so close to me
Where does life end n’ heaven start?
I still can reach out n’ touch you
So I’ll be sendin’ my love each day
Your sorrow’s gonna ease with time
Yet my deep love’ll always stay

The train begins to slow down now…
We’re arrivin’ at eternity
As heav’nly mansions come into view…
Glorious as they can be!
So don’t be filled with sadness…
For I’m here in peaceful abode
The train simply brought me back to my God
And the joys of my heav’nly home

Here are some words from Remus....

said here two weeks ago:(Woodpile Report)

July will tell the truth about the economy. I've chosen November as the month of general truth, whether the years following will be of manageable coping, of unexampled disaster, or something in between.

We're closing in on July. Here's what's developing:

National and world economies are collapsing into a 1930s-like Depression. Well regarded experts disagree on whether we're facing runaway inflation or deflation but certain it will be one or the other. There are food shortages with famines in some parts of the world. In the US there is ongoing racial and political terrorism with scattered homicides. Politically motivated shutdowns of web sites are ongoing. There are rising threats of war in the western Pacific.

November is six months away. Unless something changes for the better, it appears we will be deeply into the dark consequences of this growing catastrophe. This means we'll be heavily reliant on personal preparations being made now.

Take these words as a warning.

Always looking for details I may have missed.
Very sad about losing Ol' Remus. He put out a lot of information and his perspective shaped a generation of internet users. He's done his part for sure.

Rest in Peace.

Don’t let the Piss Ants get you down…
A great loss... But as said, now he's with his adored wife.

I found that the more time and effort you put into reading the Woodpile Report, the more you got out or it. A quick glance was nice, but wasn't the full on meal that you got by inquiring on the links and reading his pithy comments.

A unique and eloquent patriot gone. Maybe taken before his spirit could be taken and soul crushed by the impending disasters coming at us?

RIP Ol' Remus.

Not to cause a thread drift, but there's no link to this blurb, who is "they"?

Sorry to hear about Remus, may he rest peacefully now.

God sure seems to be taking a lot of the good people home of late.

sorry lonestar, I hadn't seen this thread and had started one earlier, and was wondering why it wasn't gaining traction. It's cause you saw it and posted earlier, and thank you for that. Perhaps mods can delete my thread as superfluous or else it'll just wither away.

Remus will definitely be missed - best weekly read ever IMMHO. A friend and I were talking about that a couple weeks ago, how we were hoping he'd just turned off his computer for a while and was out in the hills somewhere. I guess that's true in a figurative sense, though.

He was a rare man. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing.
I'll be staying away from crowds, Remus. Be in heaven.
