Story Remember this story????

When we were all on the "tree" site, there was a story that I was trying to remember.

As I can remember, It was about a traveling salesman driving a "lunch Truck" or camper of sorts. He was on the road and his daughter was with him(If I remember right.) There was an outbreak of a disease and TPTB put up quarantine areas. The story was mainly about him and his daughter getting back home. They got a room and bought stuff to make trail food plus other supplies for the road. And after a lot of trouble, they made it back home. Does anybody remember that story or have a copy of it???

Do you have a better list?
No. The owner of the squirrel place deleted them without notice and it was a hard delete, especially of all of the female writers and then banned us all without notice or explanation. Then when remaining members questioned he shut the author section down completely. Lol

He essentially suicided his forum by banhammer. His forum, his right to choose.

He never said anything but I think he wanted to sell the stories on the website. When we authors started kicking back is when he hard deleted everything. As the saying goes, he just cut off his nose to spite his face!!

Here is another link to another old version of TB2K:

Some stories are there, some give an error message.

I seem to remember the story, but i thought he was a plumber, and bought foam mattresses and white sheets to make Inuit style winter clothing, the minister of a church sheltered them and told police he was fixing the church boiler or furnace. I will try to find the name if that is the one you are thinking of.

I always wondered what caused the head nut there to delete my stories and ban me.

I don't think anyone ever got a real answer to that. Some of it was about females but there were other things like he wanted to sell stuff and I guess people giving stories away for free undercut that. Some of it may have also been religious. I'm honestly not sure and never let it bother me, even back then. His forum, his rule.

Not his forum anymore from what I've heard. I think I got my login renewed. But honestly just not interested. Too many memories that don't sit well.

That site was gone before I discovered PAW fiction, so I never went there. I've seen a lot of comments about it on various boards. They pretty much all were along the same lines as above. Talk about somebody shooting themselves in the foot. What a shame the stories were lost.

That was another forum I never was able to warm up to but I did try. I could tell there was something amiss amongst the members so I just used their discount to buy my Country Living Grain Mill and moved on.

Unfortunately that story doesn't ring a bell but it does sound interesting. I've spent way too much time trying to find stories I've read or audiobooks I've listened to and never saved the title or author because, at the time, I didn't think I'd ever want to read it again. There was one in particular that took years and I didn't find it, it found me as a suggestion on some book list as a book the powers that be decided I might like...they were right lol. Within five minutes I'd bought the book on Audible and was listening to it.
