A Pennsylvania church became the backdrop for a harrowing incident that underscores the unpredictable nature of public gatherings in today’s world. The Jesus Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock was thrust into the spotlight during a Sunday service that took a near-tragic turn when 26-year-old Bernard Junior Polite attempted to assassinate Pastor Glenn Germany mid-sermon.

The congregation, gathered for spiritual nourishment, found themselves in the midst of what could only be described as divine intervention. Polite, with intentions as dark as the night, pointed a firearm at Pastor Germany and pulled the trigger. By some miracle, or perhaps due to a mechanical failure, the firearm did not discharge. What followed was a testament to the bravery and quick thinking present within the congregation.

A member of the congregation, whose name has yet to hit the headlines, sprang into action with a valor that would leave even the bravest of souls in awe. This individual tackled Polite effectively preventing a catastrophe. The pastor and this courageous congregant managed to subdue and disarm Polite until Pennsylvania State Troopers arrived on the scene.

Pastor Germany, reflecting on the ordeal, expressed his gratitude for being spared from what could have been a fatal encounter. “I’m thankful to God that I’m still here because he definitely pulled the trigger,” he recounted to local media. Prior to this terrifying moment, Pastor Germany had noticed Polite’s unsettling behavior, including making direct eye contact and moving conspicuously within the church. The pastor’s attempt to seek refuge when confronted with a gun pointed at him highlights the instinctual fight-or-flight response faced in moments of extreme danger.

The unnamed hero who intervened did so at great personal risk, embodying a level of selflessness that deserves national recognition. “He could have lost his life in that struggle,” Pastor Germany said, hailing him as the true hero of the day. This act of bravery not only saved the pastor but potentially prevented further harm to the congregation.

Polite now faces charges of attempted homicide for his actions, a sobering outcome to a situation fraught with peril. This incident serves as a chilling reminder of the vulnerability of public spaces and the extraordinary acts of heroism that can emerge in the face of danger. The community’s response, rallying around their pastor and each other, reinforces the strength found in unity and the protective instincts that often lie dormant until tested.

Another shooting the anti-gunners won't touch. The target was a Christian. The perp and victim are both black.

This is an attempt to scare people like they do with "assault rifles" as a pre-emptive action. They want Church Security to be cops only and not citizen security. Or, an attempt to eliminate churches by eliminating the "church goers."

See how many more church violence happens until there is a demand for "the gov't. to do 'something'."

And then see whom is behind the dis-churching movement...Boomers will be in denial and confusion.
