Still leaving lockdowns to the governors. The power grabs don't seem to be fazing him much.
well, he was just impeached . . . and the constitutionality of a "nationwide lock down" is uncertain enough for him to walk softly, especially since Governors absolutely have that ability - now, once we get all 50 states under lock down, then he an invoke through "interstate commerce" to standardize lock downs between the states.
that is my "feeling" - (which may be interpreted as the latest wild hare that has run up my ass)

These questions are worthless.

The reporters are so self-important, but are performing no public service. Just trying to stir the pot.

"How does your question stop the spread if coronavirus?"

I remember someone passive aggressively "allegedly" being asked that....

Trump is showing remarkable restraint when dealing with the press corpse in my opinion. Many, not all, are just nasty human beings should be kicked out permanently. Still, Doomer Doug does like the way Trump smacks them down and chews on them, much like a cheetah that has dragged a dead gazelle up onto a tree branch and starts knawing on a leg.

That being the OAN reporter woman - and left as a unsigned "note" on her desk. Almost a threat. Given what happened later with her removal by the White House Select Committee of Marxists from the News Briefing room I would say it WAS a threat.

One has to "conform" to the agenda to be invited to a private party of elite.

Question? Since almost everyone here has a stock of surgical or N95 masks, will it be illegal to wear them now? Will they be confiscated if we're caught wearing them?
Ummm I wont be wearing those. I’m getting my filters out for my M95 mask. Ima gonna start wearing that out in public

The nice thing about Trump leaving a lock-down to the states is it leaves him "plausible deniability" for the ensuing business downturn.

"Hey, not my decision. Each affected state made their own decision whether to shut down and to what degree."

I imagine that when this finally passes, it will be up to each state to decide when to "clear" and press the button. (AED reference) This horse predicts that Democratic states will be long in coming back, Repub states not so much. Some extra benefit comes from more densely populated tend to be Dem. Flyover tends to be Repub.

There will be "reaction" from the electorate in this.

Well, one hopes.

Not a bad idea. He's got to shut the governors down, though; too many of them--Whitmer no doubt included--see this as an opportunity to hit Trump by shutting down. This shutdown is butchering our economy, and the governors would be happy to throw their economies on the pyre to burn Trump.

We have N95 masks (Y2K supplies) and have worn them in public. In fact, we donated our extras to the local hospital, even though they were not sealed. Still in their original bag, though, and the hospital said they can decontaminate them. They were very grateful to have them. Last time we were out, went to a fairly large grocery store, maybe 100 shoppers inside. We saw two (maybe three) other people wearing any kind of mouth covering. We've stayed home since then. Mostly because everyone except DH has "something" that bears a striking resemblance to IT. All on the mend, keeping closer watch for "relapse," and figuring it will be weeks before anyone has any energy to do anything.

No since it is not illegal to have or wear them.

Ok, thanks. I was just wondering, since there is such a cry for all surgical and N95 masks to be sent to medical workers, if at some point, officials will try and confiscate what we all have. IOW, they will become illegal for ordinary citizens to have them. Gov officials are telling us to wear simple cloth masks that can be made at home, instead.
