(prep) miso

Do you include miso in your preps? Since it removes heavy metals from the body and is (I believe) the only vegetarian source of B12 it is potentially a very useful prep item. Miso also stores well, though it is recommended to keep it refrigerated.

Has anyone tried dehydrating miso?

Here is a link to information about miso and it's health benefits:

Spinner,

I'm not sure it can be dehydrated. If it could, I think the Japanese would have done it by now.

I do use a Miso paste. Love the flavor if Miso. Very delicate.

delta lady,

You are probably right. I know that it can be freeze dried, that is what is in the instant miso soup packets. I have tried to find it freeze dried not in soup mix and can not find it. I found a couple of links on google, but they were no longer functioning.

I love the flavor of miso, too. The health benefits are a wonderful extra. It seems prudent to keep some in preps for its ability to remove heavy metals from the body as well as for the convenience and nourishment.

Thanks for answering.
