My grand-daughter is in a lock down situation in her high School. She texted her mother saying she is locked in a room. Please pray for her, other students and teachers. It is not a drill. Her name is Emily.

Three are detained and looking for two more.

Anxious parents wait for word after West Johnston lockdown

Benson, N.C. — West Johnston High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning after seven people walked into the school near the front office to pick up a student, according to the sheriff.

Sheriff Steve Bizzell said the seven people — five males and two females — were in conversation with a student at the school and came to pick the student up. When the student didn't come outside, the people went into the school.

Bizzell said officers arrived at the school and immediately took four of the people into custody. Three others ran away but were also caught.

No weapons were involved in the incident, Bizzell said, and no students, staff or officers were injured.

"Good thing about it, the Lord smiled on us today," Bizzell said. "No injuries, and everyone is fine.”

School officials said the seven people, who the sheriff described as teenagers, did not make it past the front office.

People gathered on the road leading into the school as authorities blocked the entrance. Parents at the scene said they heard about the lockdown through text messages from their children who attend the school.

Students filed out of the school around 12:15 p.m. Parents could be seen running toward the school to look for their kids.

Man, do I long for the days when "reporters" could write a coherent and informative story. So damn many holes in this one I'm not sure why they even bothered publishing it.

I've noticed the same thing, lately, on our local news. They can barely string two coherent sentences together, and often use horrible grammar. I'm thinking maybe the smart kids aren't interested in journalism classes, or the stations are just hiring people based on looks.

My daughter is picking up my granddaughter right now. As soon as they pick her up I'll give you an update of what she knows. Below will be some pictures that I took from WRAL News live news feed, out of Raleigh.

The big question is, why were 7 people allowed to walk into the school in the first place? Don't they even have minimum security?

I just talk to my daughter. She said that her husband talk to the sheriff, at the school. Sheriff told him two cars pulled up and seven people went into school's front doors. While four went into the main office, the other three started running down and through the hallways. Front desk called police. Sheriff said, it's gang related. All seven where handcuffed and taken into custody. Their vehicles are being towed right now.

(Here's story as I know it! Suzieq)
March 9, 2018

Two cars pulled up in front of the high school this morning and went though the front doors of the school. Four went into the main office, while the other three started running down and through the hallways. Main desk call police and put the school on lockdown.

My daughter got a text message from my granddaughter saying she was in lockdown at her school. There was no teacher in the room with them.

School was in lockdown for an hour, till all subspecies were apprehended.

My daughters' husband talk to the local sheriff. Sheriff told him, two cars pulled up and seven people got out and went into school's front doors. While four went into the main office, the other three started running down and through the hallways. Front desk called police. Sheriff said, it's gang related. Geeze, the opener on this could have just as easily been the beginning of a Beslan style attack on the school...

Most schools have little to no security. Any vehicle can drive onto the campus while school is in session, anyone can enter the building, and usually the only folks in the office are unarmed secretaries, the principle or the assistant principle - and no there isn't bullet-proof glass between the entry door and the secretary. Most schools have far less security measures in place than your local 7 -11 has after hours - and that is what needs to change ASAP.

In fact, around here at least most parents drop the kids off for school and pick them up from school too, so an attacker wouldn't even need to enter a school to inflict a huge number of casualties. Gunmen and or suicide bombers could simply be there waiting in the line of cars for the final bell (thus blocking off the escape route) and start shooting in to the crowd of students that come out as well as the parent's cars. It's apparent that no one (around here at least) ever heard of Beslan or thinks anything like it could happen.

My granddaughter is really shaken up by all of this. She has request prayer for herself and her friends at school. My heart ache for her to have gone through all of this.

The local sheriff, would not admit it was gang relayed on a live TV interview, this afternoon. Maybe he is trying to calm everyone down. They only charged them with trespassing.

The schools need to wake up. Wonder if they bring guns with them, the next time they decide to come rolling through the front doors.

Parents need to unite and tell officials, to get some security guards, at these open doors, during school hours.

My the schools my kids go to have the front door locked and visitors need to be buzzed in. In the elementary school, there is then a security desk right inside the doors where visitors are "vetted". Plus there is/are armed security at the school whenever it is in session.

But maybe its different in the NY/NJ area...

Same here in our little Podunk town. I figured all schools had some sort of security measures in the wake of school shootings.

TSA needs to be at all government skools,
and the local sheriff office needs to have a substation,
and a detention center, at the local high skool.

Peoples need to wake up, this is not 1957 anymore,
the last remainig threads that held the fabric together,
of the once great FUSA, are now to the point of breaking.

Arm up the government skools, and put them
permanently on lockdown.

Please be safe everyone, and please arm up.

Regards to all deplorables.

Our tiny village is the same thing except all grades are in the same building due to small amount of students. But, doors are locked and you can't get in until you tell them who you are and why you want in. And our local police chief is there when students arrive and leave. He doesn't leave until all are safe. Nice guy who loves kids and he wouldn't hesitate to take out a bad guy. None of our police would hesitate. We have 5 officers but usually only 1 or 2 on duty at a time but they are really good cops.

I'm not sure of what it is like once on the school grounds but there is only one acess point to the property thru a set of drive-thru gates with a security post by the main road. Rest of it is 7' fence with barbed strands on top-not concertina. I will ask the neighbor boys when I see them as they polay BBall across from out driveway.

The sad thing is that not that long ago 10 people could have walked into a school and gone to the main office and it would not even be an event at all. It is so sad how far we have fallen. Unless these people bypassed a security system, or had malicious intent, then they did nothing wrong.

But with the advent of Liberalism the world is now full of sicko's. And everyone has to fear for their lives.

It is big news on my neighborhood board. 7 people arrested, still looking for one. Apparently they were trying to 'Break in' but that is a bit vague. No description of another person they are looking for.

Sanity is not statistical
The reaction of LEO and school personnel once aware of it was what it should have been, so give them credit for that. Had the school been hardened before hand, it would have never happened to start with. That's my .02 on it.

I'm glad it's better where you're at, but the middle school in the affluent Texas town I moved from as well as the middle school in the town I moved to in Idaho are as I described (unfortunately) - wide open targets.

Maybe they figure, "We are in the middle of no where, who would want to attack us?"

Never did believe in the Ostrich Method of Security.
