It appears that former Texas Congressman and longtime Libertarian icon Dr. Ron Paul just had a stroke – or some other type of serious medical issue – during a live stream of his “Liberty Report” web series, which garners hundreds of thousands of viewers with every episode.

A flood of tweets wishing Paul well followed the emergence of the footage above on social media.
Please pray for Ron Paul. It appears a medical issue may have just happened during his show.

Gateway Pundit reporter Cassandra Fairbanks also tweeted her condolences.
Say a prayer for Ron Paul. He’s truly one of the best humans in politics.

We have yet to receive any kind of confirmation about the Congressman’s status from the Paul camp. Notably, his son, Rand Paul, is currently serving as the junior Senator from Kentucky.

Prayers said. If they can't prevent Scotus nomination they will go after the senators or the president. They are desperate. Not saying that's what happened, yet not suprised it did.

Sending a prayer up for Dr. Paul. He was one of our great statesmen and defenders of liberty. https://t.co/uwRUDyTdxw

Paul is known for focusing on free-market economics, reduction in the size of government, increased privacy protections for individuals, and a reduction of U.S. participation in international organizations.
Paul’s condition is not currently known.

This is a breaking story and the Gateway Pundit will be providing updates as they are made available.

Paul is seen on his YouTube channel moments before a medical emergency

Former U.S. Congressman and former presidential candidate Ron Paul has been taken to hospital after he suffered a medical emergency during an interview. Only few details were immediately available.
The incident happened just after 12 p.m. ET on Friday when Paul, who is 85 years old, was speaking about the economy on his YouTube channel. His speech became slurred and he was visibly struggling to speak.
The YouTube feed was cut short and made private and there was no immediate word on what happened. Fox News said the former congressman was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Paul, who served as a U.S. Congressman from Texas for more than 20 years, left office in 2013. He ran for president three times: in 1988 as a Libertarian and in 2008 and 2012 as a Republican.

Everybody on my dad's side of the family has died of stroke, or as the result of.

So yes time is against you. ER ASAP within 3 hours seems correct.

Cousin has had 2 but is also an EMT and knew what was happening so stopped everything and got to ER.

If you are in a position, family history, cholesterol elevated, you really need to take the time to understand the onset of a stroke, so you can get help ASAP, when you feel it coming on.

How long does a stroke victim have to get to the ER to treat this with the best outcome?
Couple hours, however, Every minute counts for the best possible outcome.

Unless he had more strokes or Heart issues, on the way to the hospital. He may have a good chance at a semi-full recovery. People usually don't recover 100%. But his chances may be good.
Very easy to tell a stroke. Everyone should watch to see the signs. It could save a persons life on how you react. Call 911 ASAP.

Praying for Dr. Paul's recovery. He's a good man.
