Prayers said. Also, don't be afraid to get a second opinion and/or a test done by a different lab. Not all labs are created equal! I've gotten abnormal results before. Tested again in two months at a better lab and was all clear.

I had one come back like that in my 40's. They kept sending me telegrams trying to terrify me when I didn't respond to their doomsday phone call. I thought at the time they were just a little too desperate to keep all that money from slipping through their fingers. Lack of trust in Drs saved me again. I'm 78 now.
Agree get 3 or 4 tests done before you have treatment. Anyway best wishes for a good outcome.

Day by day
I had an abnormal one in my 20s, scared the dickens out of me. Biopsy showed a bit of dysplasia, had the cryofreeze treatment, never had another abnormal one.

Even still, at 67 I keep up with the paps and still worry until the results come in.

Good advice given here. I too have been through this experience. My new specialist was a jerk. He cold called me and said bluntly..you have cancer. Not everyone in the health care system is tactful or kind. I don't want to be a downer because most of these tests will come back negative but this is important to keep in mind. You must be your own best advocate and support system.

This^^^ I had one come back as a "black" pap test, which meant all sorts of follow up tests. Finally it was revealed that they got my pap test confused with another patients pap test. I felt bad for her because it took three months to get this mess cleared up.
