Hi all,

Could you please pray for my father. He's having open heart surgery tomorrow.

This is his second bypass operation, so risks of complications are higher.

It's a miracle he hasn't suffered a heart attack up to now, so I'm grateful to God for that.

I've been in your club before, and know how you feel. That being said, big prayers for your Dad and family as he gets what he needs to be healthy again, SOT.

Maintain good relations with his nurses - bring them flowers. Let 'em know they got somebody special there. Open line of communication with doctor with one main person for him to speak with.

Jeepers....prayers being answered....a big thanks to you folk and God above all!

My father's out of surgery now, all went very well. They didn't even have to hit him with medicine to get his heart to restart. Once the blood hit, it started pumping. He's 71 and this was his second double bypass, but the riskiest part is now past. Now on to recovery.

I can't tell you how extraordinary this hospital staff and surgeon have been. Course, upon my compliments of how other hospitals should be alike, the head nurse indicated some are trying to catch up and I asked somehwat tongue-in-cheek, "like in a competitive private market?" She responded, "something like that" with a big smile.

Thank you all again. I'll update you once he's up and around and then home.
